Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure in fully clear kayaks in the world’s brightest bioluminescent bay! Watch fish light up as you paddle while learning the science behind this magical natural wonder
Meeting Location: Across from the Sun Bay Beach entrance/sign in Esperanza✨️ Meeting Time: 25 minutes before your scheduled tour time. We have a 10 min check-in window for all tours.
Departure Policy: Tours run on schedule and depart at the end of the check-in window, exactly 15 min before your tour time.
✨️Vieques is a separate island from mainland Puerto Rico. We recommend booking ferry tickets online 2–3 weeks in advance. Overnight stay recommended :) Guests on the earliest tour can catch the latest ferry on weekdays at 9:30 PM. On weekends the latest ferry is 9 PM, so we do not recommend trying to return on that ferry as it cuts time very close.

Note, Vieques is a seperate island from puerto rico make sure you plan ferry/flight tickets to the island 2/3weeks in advance
service animals allowed only if they are small enough to sit on your lap in the kayak
Weight limit is about 260 per person. we have 2 person kayaks with max weight as 400lbs the weight needs to distributed between 2 people for the kayaks to not flip. if you have someone over 260lbs please let us know

5.00Had a great tour with this team! Didn’t quite know what to expect, but we got lucky enough to have one of the brightest nights in a while ( according to our head guide). Loved the educational parts along with the free paddle time. Clear bottom kayak is the way to go!

5.00This experience was amazing! Alexis, our tour guide was very clear, funny and informative. The bay was dark, and the stars were bright. The bioluminescent was extraordinary to watch. You can see the fish glowing in the dark.

5.00Our tour group was only 6 people which gave us lots of room to kayak with space on our own. The lights glittering until the clear kayak were unforgettable. Amazing experience.

5.00This tour was incredible! Our tour guide was awesome. Not only did he make us feel safe and secure, but he also gave us a ton of info on the marine biology, the history of the bay, and pointed out some constitutions, stars, and planets! As a city person, I was a little scared at first. It’s dark out and if your eyes aren’t adjusted, it’s a little hard to see at first. But the guides made me feel totally secure and they and the instructions were easy to follow. Your bottom DOES GET WET. So either wear a bathing suit or shorts you can get wet. To see the stars so clear above and the ‘stars’ in the water below- and the glowing water under your lap from the clear bottomed kayak was nothing short of magical. 10/10

5.00Emma was so knowledgeable with everything, giving us the science and history behind the bioluminescence. It was organized as well, as we got a message from their company with all the information. She also showed us the different constellations on the sky.

5.00We moved our trip to (which was going to coincide with the full moon) to make this tour, and I'm so very glad we did - it was absolutely a peak life experience! Emma is a wonderful, intuitive guide, the see-through kayaks were otherworldly, and of course the bay and the dinoflagellates themselves deserve every bit of their reputation. We felt like astral travelers moving through the constellations - sparkling stars trail through your fingers! - and enjoyed every moment of the tour. It was very easy to gather at the van-meetup point and transfer to the bay, and by taking the first tour of the night we were able to catch the last ferry back to Ceiba (having prearranged our return trip with a cab driver beforehand, and I recommend the same to others with our schedule). I wish we'd planned to stay a few days on Vieques instead of making just a day trip, and I'll definitely stay longer next time! (There will obviously be a next time.) Go tour the bay! You won't be disappointed, and you will be f*@#ing enchanted!

We missed the information on the listing that it operates on a separate island from puerto Rico , (Always read everything before you book lol !) and the company helped us find a place to stay in the island and even gave us a list of taxi numbers so we wouldn’t have an issue getting to the meeting spot . 10stars if I could !the comunicaton and the tour itself was perfect . 100% worth going with alikei
