Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure in fully clear kayaks in the world’s brightest bioluminescent bay! Watch fish light up as you paddle while learning the science behind this magical natural wonder

Meeting Location: Across from the Sun Bay Beach entrance/sign in Esperanza✨️ Meeting Time: 25 minutes before your scheduled tour time. We have a 10 min check-in window for all tours.

Departure Policy: Tours run on schedule and depart at the end of the check-in window, exactly 15 min before your tour time.

✨️Vieques is a separate island from mainland Puerto Rico. We recommend booking ferry tickets online 2–3 weeks in advance. Overnight stay recommended :) Guests on the earliest tour can catch the latest ferry on weekdays at 9:30 PM. On weekends the latest ferry is 9 PM, so we do not recommend trying to return on that ferry as it cuts time very close.

service animals allowed only if they are small enough to sit on your lap in the kayak

Weight limit is about 260 per person. we have 2 person kayaks with max weight as 400lbs the weight needs to distributed between 2 people for the kayaks to not flip. if you have someone over 260lbs please let us know

I'd definitely recommend this. Our guides were great, (for us, its only really visible under certain conditions) the glow was super visible, and the instructions were clear. It was my and my sisters first time kayaking, and it was enjoyable and simple. I'm going to bring more family next time I come to puerto rico. Thank you!

The tour guides were friendly, fun, and kept us all safe and happy. Emma and Diana were wonderful hosts and happy to answer questions throughout the tour. The kayaks were completely clear and the whole experience was a magical 10/10. This is a bucket list experience. Don’t miss it!

Meet at the shack with a herd of horses, road to the bay looks a bit war-torn, but -wow- the experience is worthwhile and pretty great. Really appreciated Emma’s friendly demeanor, patience, and knowledge of the Bay. You’ll need to leave your shoes at the shore to protect the clear kayaks—totally worth it.

If staying in Isabel, the drive to the meet up is a little stressful at night. We drove the same road during the day, but it was much worse at night. We were on the 9pm tour, so a lot of traffic with headlights in your eyes and extremely narrow road in places, plus the horses by the side of the road. Our tour guide was mediocre at best. Can’t tell you her name because she didn’t introduce herself. When she gave us information while we were in the kayak, most of the time her voice projected away from us, we were behind her, so we couldn’t hear what she was saying. She gave us time on our own, but didn’t tell us how long or where we needed to meet back. It all worked out, but wasn’t as enjoyable as I expected. I would use an operator that has a meet up in town

Amazing experience. The bio luminescence in the bay was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a clear moonless night, perfect for this experience.

First and foremost, if you take this tour, please ENSURE you have a rental car. It is very far out of town, and public transportation is unreliable and non-existent at night. Upon arrival, we were dropped off at an abandoned or closed building with a bench out front. No check-in location, no people to be seen at all. Again, keep in mind this is nighttime in the middle of nowhere. Texted the tour and was told we were in the right location. Eventually, a van showed up, had us sign some waivers on a phone, and took us to the bay. The bioluminescent water is very cool, but the tour seemed very unorganized and rushed. Spent most of the time just sitting waiting for each member of the group to catch up and huddle. The tour guide did give some good information about the bay and the dinoflagellates. After around maybe 45 mins on the water, we were shuttled back to he meeting point and dropped off. Our prearranged taxi was not there, so the shuttle driver gave us a list of taxis and left. None were open. We ended up walking 3+ miles back to town, survived 2 near death experiences(not exaggerating) where the local police finally picked us up and took us back to our room. Again, ensure you have a rental car.

Experience on the water was AMAZING!!!! Nothing else like it! Guide gave accurate and easily understandable scientific explanation of the phenomenon. BUT. If you're staying in Isabel Segunda book a tour that meets there! We spent $60 in taxi money to get to Esperanza for dinner. The pick-up spot was actually a 15 minute walk down dark, fire-anty (ask me how I know) roads that didn't have great signage and we didn't have cell service. Alikei, PLEASE add meeting spot in Esperanza to your tour. It would make ALL the difference. Again, enjoyed the tour, but getting to meet-up point was not easy.
