At 8:00 a.m. you'll be picked up from your hotel and head to the Andorran Valley, the place where many neighbours settled and formed one of the spontaneous urbanisations. After leaving the vehicle, the hike starts along a river of thaw that crosses the turbal that covers the valley. This wet and slippery ground will be found along great part of the walk, so it is important to wear appropriate footwear. Once in the forest, the ascent is constant, and although it is intense at first, it is less demanding near the vegetation line, about 600 meters above sea level. Once above the tree line, you will be amazed by the steep peaks of the mountain range that surrounds the valley. At 11.30 a.m., the ascent continues along a stream of water that feeds on a glacial lagoon where, a few decades ago, the Vinciguerra glacier used to break into and release icebergs. Although today the glacier receded tens of meters from the lagoon, is even more interesting because of the caves that formed and the breathtaking views. Around 12:30 we arrive at the foot of the glacier, where we will take our lunch. An hour later we start the descent to arrive at our vehicles near 4:00 p.m. and return to hotel.

Hello. I am a mountain guide from Ushuaia, I guide this excursion regularly. I'm going to let you know that the tour photo is outdated. Currently the caves that remain in the glacier are much smaller and it is up to the guide whether to enter or not, for safety reasons. The cave seen in the photo no longer exists. Keep in mind that glaciers change from month to month. In any case, I recommend this tour because the views are still beautiful. Thank you

It is a very beautiful trekking, the scenery is incredible. You need to be a bit prepared to walk in the mud, but it pays off.
