Game of Thrones, one of the most popular television shows, moved to the coast of the Basque Country to shoot several of the scenes that gave life to a new location called Dragonstone, for the seventh season. In the real life the beach and the island that form the place, are in fact located in two different places and during this tour, we will visit both! Follow the steps of your favourite Game of Thrones characters in the Basque Country visiting spectacular cliffs with a history of more than 60 million years and magical rocky island of pirates, witches and legends.

5.00The day was lovely. Great to get out of the city and see the country side. Andoni was a courteous and informative guide who provided a day that we were interested in. The scenery is lovely, lush green hills and wine areas with rugged coastlines. A great tour!

5.00After several mishaps that left us without a rental car we were devastated that we were not going to see most of the things on our itinerary. Baskme to the rescue! I booked a severely last minute tour to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe and it did not disappoint. Our local guide Jaime was what I’d call a kindred spirit- nature loving, warm and wonderful, and engrossingly knowledgeable - He subtly assessed what we were into (which was more history and culture as opposed to being GOT fans) so he showed us some extra things that blew our minds. Was absolutely the best day of our trip and I’m glad we saved it for last. Special memories not soon forgotten indeed. Eskerrik asko Jaime!

5.00Jaimie was an excellent guide with excellent knowledge. He knows so much about the history of the Basque region. Being a game of thrones fan we loved the locations and took heaps of photos imagining that we were there when Jim Snow and Danearys were shooting the TV series. Recommend to game of thrones fans and all those interested in learning about the Basque region. The scenery and walks - just spectacular and also a good workout. Adrian and Anita from Australia

5.00This tour was, by far, my favorite part of my visit to Spain this year! It is far more than a nod to GOT. The scenery is absolutely stunning, and the tour operator - baskme (Andoni) - is the consummate professional and very engaging. I developed a deeper appreciation for Basque history and culture.

5.00Can’t say enough great things about our day-tour with Andoni. As big GOT fans, it was an absolute blast to visit the filming locations for Dragonstone (Yes, you visit more than one!). The hotel pick-up from San Sebastian was a huge plus, as the locations we visited were around an hour west of San Sebastian. Andoni was as professional as they come and ensured we were completely comfortable and relaxed the entire day. He showed us the best kept secrets throughout the area and truly got to know us. We would have never had seen anything close to what we did without his guidance. My wife and I both agree that this was the highlight of our entire vacation. Would reccomend 10/10.

5.00My husband and I were only going to be in the Basque Country for 3 1/2 days in September 2019 and I wanted to enjoy the area as much as possible. After much search online I found BaskMe and I could not be happier with our choice. Andoni pick us up and took us in this road trip through small villages from Bilbao to San Sebastian. What a wonderful trip and what a great tour guide. The tour was customized and stopped in San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, Mundaka, Zumaia and Getaria. We loved all the small villages, the views and the food, Andoni’s recommendations were spot on. We also did another customized tour with BaskMe to Lourdes, Saint-Jean-de-Luz in France and Hondarribia in Spain. Beautiful trip again. Andoni was a great host of the Basque Country, he is very knowledgeable of the area and conversations were enjoyable. Truly recommend his tours!

5.00Great place to visit where Game of Thrones was shot. If you are going to go wear good shoes and prepare to go up and down hills. Hehe.
