  This was an excellent outing. The tour guide was the most knowledgeable person I have ever encountered on a trip. The vehicle was perfect, the treatment was spectacular. I can't recommend them enough. The trio down the volcano was exciting and unforgettable. Altogether, excellent.

  Miguel was an incredible guide! He totally made the trip for us. He was accommodating and kind, and my 19-year-old son and I had a blast! Our driver Darwin was also perfect! They showed us wildlife and explained the area on our way to the epic adventure of boarding down the volcano. There were also only three other hikers on the volcano the entire time we were there!

  This was a blast. Miguel was a great tour guide. Miguel picked us up in town and drove us to the volcano. He was very knowable about the local wildlife and stopped to point out birds/fruits/plants/etc. He walked us up the volcano, took pictures of me and my wife, and showed us how to board down the Volcano, and took pictures and videos of us doing so. A 10/10 experience. My wife and I underestimated the volcano climb. The sign at the bottom says low to medium difficulty, but I would say that's only the case if you're in shape. If you're out of shape and/or overweight, this might be a tough climb.

  I had so much fun! Franklin did such a great job with photos and dance lessons. It was such a fun experience and highly recommend!!!

  What a great thing to do in Nicaragua. With a nice short hike to the top you'll be sliding down the mountain as fastest as you possibly want. It guide Franklin made the experience so much better. I was literally running in front of us to get pictures and videos on the way up and running up and down after us while we were volcanoing just to get the perfect shotg A+experience

• An amazing experience, worth every dollar

  This experience blew us all away. Franklin is the best in the business when it comes to being a tour guide. He was super flexible with pick up and met us at a gas station outside of the city because we were driving into Leon the day of our experience. The communication was great via WhatsApp with Franklin. His English is 10/10 and he explains everything to you as you go, the drive to Cerro Negro is part of the experience with him as he explains the history of the area. Safety is his number 1 priority and he is one of the few guides that provides a helmet, goggles, gloves, and the board. His service does include someone to carry your board and trust me you are going to want that. He captured a ton of pictures and videos for our group which allowed us just to enjoy the hike.   Loved this experience! We booked directly with the team at Vamos Travel (which was super easy and best value) and organized for a 7am departure to beat the heat. We had the volcano to ourselves! The hike wasn't super strenuous at all, and while the volcano slope looked steep from the top, I was pleasantly surprised how much control I had over the speed with my feet as brakes. The team we went with (Maria as our guide, plus a driver and a board-carrier) were all super professional and friendly. Highly, highly recommend!

  We arrived to León the night before this tour and in the morning we realised we had lost a pair of shoes on the shuttle to León. When the guides arrived to the hostel to pick us up they where very helpful and drove us to a store where we could buy a new pair of shoes before going to the volcano. The hike up the volcano and the view was great. Our guide explained a lot about the volcano and the surrounding area and when it was time to board down the volcano everything felt very safe and was a lot of fun! Amazing experience with the best tour guides you could ask for, definitely recommend it!

  Excellent activity in Nicaragua, the view is masterful once up there! Miguel is super nice and he taught us a lot. We were picked up in an air-conditioned car at the address we gave and dropped off at the same address. Don't forget your bandanas to cover your face during this decent epic.
