The Māori’s were very welcoming and wanting to share their culture with us. We had a welcoming talk and a little history of the NZ Maori’s. Then went on a short walk down to the bubbling natural spa where a Māori boat with warriors came down and chanted. Back up to an area where entertainment was put on with explanations and singing. Back to the initial dining area for a spectacular Māori lunch, this was very delicious, lamb, chicken, sweet potatoes, salad & veg. Followed by desserts. After lunch shown a typical Māori huts of times past. A very worthwhile experience.
