Embrace nature and explore the echoes of the ancient reconstructed fortified village site unravelling the ways of life of the Māori and the natural spring Te Wai Whakarukuhanga a Atua (The waters of the Gods) also known as Te Puna Tapu o Tuhoe (a famous ancestor and tribe).

Wheelchair accessibility is limited for the 'bush walk' - exit into the forest is via stairs. Viewing of the waka (canoe) is from a platform and you can go a short distance into the forest to view the old pā (village) and see the sacred spring below the forest.

This was a great experience. Our host was professional and informative. All of our questions were answered. The performance was outstanding. The tour was very interesting ( even in the rain) and the buffet was yummy.

The whole experience was about educating people on how the Maori people came to settle in New Zealand. Full of culture, song, dance, a haka and a hungi. The experience was interactive in parts, had some fun moments and very enjoyable.

Very good that at the beginning the presenter gives an introduction to the history of the Maori. The depictions of the Maori are explained by their chief. They are worth seeing and give an insight into Maori life through singing and dancing. The Maori canoe trip is also interesting. The subsequent food is very good. You can even choose what you want to eat.

I'm looking forward to something more indigenous. Although I really enjoyed the tour inside the jungle and seeing the canoe with the Maories. I think if they had done the dances there in the jungle, everything would have been more magical. The food's okay, though I don't think it was maory recipes.

Had an amazing few hours here, the guide was so good matter of fact all the staff were outstanding. If you get a chance to visit make sure you do.
