I highly recommend booking a luau through Viator as they present many options. We chose the Waikiki Starlight Luau at the Hilton Hawaiian Village because we were staying there. Be sure and choose the Friday night option on the Great Lawn and afterwards you are able to see the fireworks from the beach!

It rained heavily right before the show causing a delay of 30 minutes for the show to start. The show, Including dinner only lasted 1 1/2 hours. It had some good points but needs work. 3 star….

If you don’t buy the gold circle seating, you are forced to wait in a long line before entering the facility. Upon entry you were given a watered down Mai Tai and must proceed down a line of tables selling items. They take your picture and if you choose to purchase it, it is $59. They then offer a hula lesson to all guests, followed by a fashion show to sell Hawaiian wraps. By the time you eat, it is 7:00 PM. The actual show starts at seven and ended at 7:50 PM. They advertise this show lasting from 5:30-8:30 but clearly it’s a lot shorter. You will only receive two drinks, which include one Mai Tai. This was a total money grab catering to unsuspecting tourists who don’t know. The Polynesian center offers a better luau based on tips from locals. . For $185 pp we all felt this was a rip off.

The Luau was moved into a confection since it rained earlier that evening. The line was extremely long about an hour for check in. Food was ok but not great. Performers were good. I think it was overpriced for what you got for the money.

They put the food and drinks up early. The show wasn't as good. I saw a Luau in Maui and they had a pig this one did not. Should have been in the grass.
