Curral Velho
It was the first settlement on the island. Now in ruins, it sits in front of a large salt flat and the majestic Curral Velho beach, known for its prehistoric sands and wild waters, watched over by the Bird Islet, where thousands of endemic birds nest. From July to October, it also becomes a nesting site for sea turtles.
A stunning bay where sea turtles come to nest, with a beautiful oasis just behind. The beach is part of the protected natural reserve of Boa Vista Island.
