5.00Leisurely stroll with history of city/buildings mixed in with food tastings. Sophie was passionate about the city - well versed in its history. Brewery was a lot of fun and liked trying the fries with the stew on top- will be making that at home. Fourth stop felt a little out of order - would have preferred more tapas or snacks than a bowl of chili/veggies and rice after the chocolates. Loved the waffle at the end.

5.00Our tour guide Hamraz was an excellent guide. We enjoyed the tour very much with good food and interesting stories. French fries are not french and the recommendation for a good coffee was definitely a good one. Thanks Hamraz.

3.00I was unlucky to be a solo British traveller with a group of 8 Dutch friends and a Dutch couple. Sophie explained at the start that she would be conducting the tour in Dutch and then translate in English. (I would not have booked this if I'd have known this might happen) After the introduction, the group very kindly requested that Sophie continue the tour in English to make it easier for the whole party. But Sophie insisted on continuing in Dutch even when reminded later in the tour. Sophie spent the time to check on how I was doing but I felt very left out, and when I finally started having a nice conversation with the couple, Sophie came over and just started chatting in Dutch! The tour very specifically states 2hrs. I had left myself 2hr30 in case as I needed to get on the road home. At the 2hr30 point we had only just finished stop 3 of 5! Sophie kindly offered some more chocolate and that I could go to the last stop by myself for the single ice cream scoop - but the queue was so long when I got there and being by myself I left. Overall a disappointment. The amount of food you get (for example the usual portion of chocolate being 2 pieces), and including the time spent, doesn't in any way equate to the amount paid. Tours of Brighton -please don't mention like you have for another review that at the time 'I appeared grateful and happy' - its called being polite and not wanting an issue for the rest of the group. I am sure more worth while if there isn't a language barrier and you are in a group.

5.00We had the most fantastic food tour of Ghent with Sophie yesterday! From the very beginning, she impressed us with her depth of knowledge, painting a vivid picture of the city’s history dating back to the 600s while also weaving in thoughtful insights about Ghent’s role in the world today. The food stops were all authentic local gems, each one offering specialties that were both delicious and eye-opening. Every bite felt like part of the city’s story. Sophie never once made us feel rushed. In fact, she generously spent far longer with us than scheduled, making sure we had time to enjoy, ask questions, and soak it all in. What stood out most, though, was Sophie herself. She radiates passion for Ghent and its food culture, and she shares it in such a warm, engaging way that you can’t help but fall a little in love with the city too. An exceptional guide and an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

5.00I can’t say enough good about Sophie. She is just a beautiful person 100%. She done way for to help me out with a personal issue that went far beyond a walking food tour. Oh—let me tell you. The food tour was just amazing. However, Sophie’s beautiful soul and knowledge about Belgian and Ghent history made the tour.

5.00Sophie not only introduced us to some of the tastiest hidden gems in the city but also wowed us with her knowledge of the history and influence of Ghent. We loved that we left with a set of fun photos of our time together. Highly recommend!
