Born and raised in Split, I’ve spent my whole life wandering its ancient streets, and now I want to share its story with you—not just as a guide, but as someone who calls this city home.
Join me on a small-group walking tour (max 7 people) through over 1,700 years of history, where we’ll explore how Split was born inside a Roman emperor’s palace—and how it grew into the vibrant Mediterranean gem it is today.
You'll hear how Diocletian built his massive retirement palace by the sea, why UNESCO protected it as a World Heritage Site back in 1979, and what happened when the city "escaped" the palace walls. Through fascinating stories, hidden spots, and local legends, I’ll show you what makes Split truly one of a kind.
This isn’t just a history lesson—it’s a relaxed, friendly journey through time, told from a local’s perspective.

5.00Enjoyable walk through the palace and old town. Luka was friendly and informative and happy to answer a range of questions. This your was also a bit more fun because Luka involved the group with questions of his own and I liked the relaxed feel of it.
