From the centrally located Waterfront to the quiet bays and panoramic lookouts, you’ll be enthralled from start to finish. These quality electric bikes are easy to use and make riding up hills a breeze. If you can ride a bike, you can ride an eBike! Your guide will keep you and your group safe with helmets provided and full riding instruction. This 3-4 hour tour is lighthearted, fun and engaging with the focus on riding and finding the best view points. You’ll get a local’s perspective on the culture and history of our vibrant capital city and surrounding bays.

We pick up every guest arriving on a cruise ship from outside the ship. When: 9:30am (Day of tour) Where: Independent Operators Pick up Zone Who: One of our staff members holding a blue Switched on Bikes sign. Walk past the shuttle busses and look for us next to the vans.
Our shop is the starting point for your tour. By Chaffers Dock Marina, just a 5 minute walk from Wellington iSite information centre and Te Papa Museum. and have a cafe on site if you arrive early. We'll set you up on your bike with a helmet and provide you with full instruction on how to use your eBike (it's easy!). We've got a large car-free space to get used to riding before we set off.

5.00This was an amazing experience made all the more special by the excellent coordination of manager Ryan and wonderful tour guide Tara. I can’t speak highly enough of Tara’s friendliness and welcoming demeanor as she shared the wonders of Wellington, a town she clearly loves. I appreciated the fascinating background and stories of Wellington she shared. Her focus on fun and safety were outstanding. 5.00Amazing e bike ride. Around the huge harbor hugging the shore. Then up into the large hills overlooking the harbor. About 24 to 30km round trip. E bikes make it easy

5.00Highly Recommend! We enjoyed this windy tour with our guides Tara and Dillon. The electric-assist bikes made the tour effortless. Tara and Dillon provided just the right amount of history and perspective. This is a great way to see the Wellington waterfront.

5.00The bikes were top quality. The two guides, Tara and Dylan, did an excellent job. Tara was very knowledgeable. It was a very windy day and returning from the ride into the wind was quite difficult. I believe our guides kept us safe in what could have been a dangerous condition. The sites were beautiful. Would highly recommend this excursion.

5.00Tara was a wonderful guide and the bikes were in great condition. We were lucky that there wasn’t a lot of wind that day and the weather was great. She took us around the coast and shared stories and lots of info on Wellington. I had never ridden on an e-bike, and after some warmup in the parking lot, I felt very comfortable on the bike. The e-bike came in handy when we climbed a mountain to get an awesome view of Wellington harbor. Tour included a yummy gelato at the end.
