Your tour begins at 7:30 am at the Coral Bay Ecotours office, followed by a short bus transfer to the jetty to board the vessel. Then we head out for your first reef snorkel experience in the beautiful coral gardens, where you may encounter numerous fish, reef sharks, and other marine species. After morning tea, we begin our journey to the outer reef. By this time our spotter plane is already searching for our whale sharks and informing us of any other exciting marine life spotted along the way! We will do our best to allow you to experience as much wildlife as possible during our tour. Once our spotter plane has found a whale shark, our boat will make its way there. Guests will be split into 2 groups of 10 and take turns to swim with the whale shark. To ensure that we don’t disturb its natural habits, we are allowed a maximum one hour of swimming time with the whale shark. We stop along the way home for a second reef snorkel at a different site.

5.00I made the whale shark for my birthday, it was the most magical thing in the world. I highly recommend the tour, it is a little more expensive than others but includes absolutely everything. It's worth 100%

5.00Staff and tour was great, our disabled daughter joined us on the boat and while she didn’t swim the staff went out of their way to ensure she was ok and enabled us to do as many dives as possible. An amazing experience
10/10 would do again!!

5.00This trip was incredible!! We started off by heading to a beautiful snorkelling site inside the reef where we saw reef sharks, turtles and tonnes of beautiful fish and coral. Then we headed out of the reef and the spotted plane started to look for the whale sharks whilst we had a delicious lunch. We had the opportunity to swim with 3 whale sharks in total which was such a bucket list moment. The staff on board were incredible, always happy to help and super friendly and knowledgeable!! We had a lovely journey back to shore and were greeted by some dolphins whilst we had some champagne and chocolates!!! Couldn’t have been more of a perfect day. Thank you so much to all the staff on board, all the added extras, constant snacks and offering drinks, it definitely did not go unnoticed! I would recommend this trip to anyone considering it, we had the best time!!!

5.00It was a fantastic experience, partly because of the crew who looked after and guided us all day. Clear explanations were given every time we entered the water. The photos that photographer Laura took during the excursion are beautiful!

1.00Booked this tour 3mths prior. Flew from east coast. Drove 13hrs up from Perth and was told our tour was cancelled as we were literally set to walk onto the bus. No sollutions/ideas like shuffling bookings around if people had a few extra days to play with. To cancel on the 11th hour is a disgrace, how is there not a back up plan for this? Anyone reading this who goes on to book with these guys would want your head examined. Having tried all the other operators they were fully booked out except 3 Islands discovery in exmouth who were brilliant and through a last minute cancellation enabled both of us to dive with the whale sharks and gave us a brilliant day out. There was a group of others I'm sure who weren't as fortunate as us to get a tour at such short notice and have to leave exmouth not having done the main thing that brought them here in the first place. This company is a farce and would urge others to book elsewhere to avoid disappointment.
So glad we chose this tour!

5.00We had an incredible time on this tour. The crew was fantastic — super friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do. They made sure we had a proper encounter with a whale shark. Before we got the chance to swim with these gentle giants, they took us to a stunning snorkel spot so everyone could get comfortable with the water and gear. I highly recommend this tour — the crew made it an unforgettable experience.

5.00Absolutely amazing experience! From the very moment your arrive the staff are super friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and there to ensure you have the best day possible. Mind blowing to snorkle on the reef. We were lucky enough to see so much marine life, turtles and then have a surreal experience cruising along side a very chilled whale shark. Hats off to all the staff for making the day unforgettable. Shout out to Dan’s photography aswell, sensational. Highly recommend these guys!

1.00Unfortunately not a great experience. We had a tour booked months in advance and when we got there on the morning of the trip we got measured up for all the wetsuits and equipment etc ... and then at 7.50am as we were about to all depart for the tour, it was suddenly announced the tour was cancelled! (Due to a mechanical boat issue which they only found out about as the tour was about to leave...) The staff were sorry and offered us a refund but it was really disappointing. They didn't really have any suggestions or alternative options (i.e transfer us to a different boat or let the tour go ahead in the afternoon when the issue was fixed.) The Easter hols meant the whole of Coral bay and Exmouth were completely booked out for tours, so even though I telephoned lots of over companies, we had missed out on every other tour that week. It was very late notice to find out at nearly 8am that the tour wasn't going ahead and that we had wasted our time travelling 13 hours to do the tour. They let us book onto a snorkel tour (2 hours) which was a nice tour but the company didn't even offer a discount... which I thought was a bit remiss given that we had paid over a thousand dollars for the whale shark tour and travelled there etc. The company refunded the payment but still just feel that was such a disappointing solution and felt it was all so last minute and lacklustre. Sorry I don't have a more positive experience to report, but it really was poor service... I now have a 13hr drive back to Perth tomorrow before a 6hr flight back to Sydney without seeing what I booked to see and do, over 4mths ago.. cest la vie.
