Drive your own car through our Safari Park! This self-guided tour allows guests to see more than 150 exotic animals and native Florida wildlife like white-tailed deer, bison, wildebeest, zebras, watusi, and oryx, to name a few. Buckle up for your wildest car ride yet! Travel down gravel paths within our Drive-thru Safari Park and discover more than 100 native and exotic animals roaming freely. During your journey, you’ll have the opportunity to observe a variety of animals often only found around the world. Enjoy identifying species from as far away as the African savanna to others from the deciduous forests of North America, all from the comfort of your own car.

We did the drive thru safari, Gatorade, and the 1 hour airboat ride. All were very good and staff were beyond kind and helpful. Our boat captain found numerous gators and was very knowledgeable. Overall very good choice to go there.

We thought this might be a tourist trap, but we were visiting Orlando and did not want to spend all our time at theme parks. Our group of 10 included an age range from 18 months to 97 years, so we thought this might be an interesting adventure. We had underestimated how much we would enjoy it. This is not a tourist trap. It is a self-contained, well maintained collection of animals from around the globe. You can stroll through the zoo-like portion (complete with times to see specific animals for feeding, etc.), and drive through the safari. The drive-through park was fun for all since we could see animals in the wild and mixed with other species. The handout that provided a guide to what we were seeing was quite helpful and we were happy we had allowed enough time to take the full 90-minute drive. We were there in the week prior to US Thanksgiving. There were no crowds and we were able to move at our own pace. We also did the airboat tour and saw numerous alligators and other wildlife. They provided hearing protection and the captain of the craft clearly knew where to look for 8-10' gators. He was knowledgeable without seeming scripted or bored with the same questions he likely gets on every tour. If you have never been on an airboat, set aside time to do this once in your life, at least. (We took the 1-hour tour.) All the staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. We treated ourselves to ice cream outside the Chomp House grill at the end of our visit.

You stay in your car and drive through the safari and actually get really close to lots of animals, we actually had an Emu come up to our window and just stood there looking in our car he wouldn’t leave, it was well worth the price of admission.

This is an addendum to my review of the safari and park. I made an error and I’m unable to edit it. I meant to say the park never disappoints. There are opportunities to see a variety of animals, with information posted about each animal. The animal presentations are always excellent. There is a cage with indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is limited but there are vegetarian options.
