This excursion gives you the best opportunity to immerse yourself in local life, learn about its ancestral traditions, culture, art and crafts in the charming Magic Town of Mazunte.You can enjoy the results of local crops, such as Mezcal, chocolate and coffee, savoring its authentic flavors and discovering its rich history.
The environment is the protagonist of this excursion. You will approach the fauna in total freedom, admiring close up herons, fishermen martins, diving ducks and even river crocodiles. Crocodile watching is a safe experience, as it is a quiet animal during the day. It is carried out in boats with oars so as not to alter the fauna.
You will visit the famous beach of Zipolite and then head to Puerto Angel, to enjoy, if you wish, a delicious meal based on fresh seafood and an endless variety of dishes for all tastes.

Laguna Ventanilla
We will begin this magical adventure with a small trip approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes away from Bahías de Huatulco, there is Ventanilla, which is classified as a Protected Natural Reserve; We will take a walking tour along a path of approximately 15 min to board the boat driven by rowing by people from the same town. During the tour of the boat we will observe the different types of mangroves unique to the region and where different species of reptiles live , birds (such as: the woodpecker, the kingfisher, the diving duck), herons, crocodiles and iguanas, all these species will surprise us during this great experience.
Mazunte
Later we will go to Mazunte considered a "Magic Town", in this charming place we will discover these streets full of traditions of the coast of the state of Oaxaca, we will take the opportunity to try regional products such as Mezcal, Coffee and Chocolate. a wonderful place to buy gifts for your relatives, the traditional dresses are hand-embroidered with threads of incredible colors.

5.00Wildlife Eco Tour on the coast of Oaxaca… it’s a “not to miss” adventure. It can give a nice cut of the reality beyond tourism and how people here want to preserve the status quo. We went in contact with the association that is working on the preservation of mangroves. Our guide Jahaziel drove us to Ventanilla (reserve place) and we could see iguana and crocodiles. Then we did a mezcal tasting… and why not ? Adding even an eye cleanse… with the promise I would have regained sight 🤥 🤣 stops with bath in Mazunte, Zipolite and finally in Puerto Angel … we had a such great lunch in front of the see… I was enjoying the food so much that I could not think to take pictures … The day flew by. Amazingly. A great way to end my Mexican holiday… And why not an example of chivalry… Jahaziel, walked me to the door of my hotel since the street was dark… what an example … Thank you for the great day

4.00Good tour, seeing crocodiles was amazing and the highlight of the tour. Some beautiful beaches but some stops were quite short, only 15/20 mins. Lovely beaches but it meant lots of stop/start. Also no English speaking guide despite saying there was

5.00Our driver was very informative and came along for the mangrove/crocodile tour as well as the turtle release. He translated for us and took pictures of the turtle release. It was a great day!

4.00The Protected Natural Reserve at Ventanilla was an amazing experience! Definitely the highlight of this excursion. The rest of the trip was a little lackluster. Our guide on site, Sergio, was amazing! He is so friendly and passionate about the village and their efforts to support the animals and environment. We were lucky enough to see several crocs in the wild, including the oldest and largest male, right up close! I recommend having Pesos instead of USD for the entry fee. Online it noted that it would be $14 USD per person, and my print out actually said $10 USD per person. We were charged $16. Not a huge deal I suppose, especially if you've been to Mexico before! The funds do support the lagoon and animals as there is no government funding. From here, we drove to Mazunte, we were supposed to have about 1.5 hours to wander, shop, etc., however we just drove through and did not stop. We then went to Zipolite, we did get dropped off here to walk along the beach to where the Zipolite sign was located (about 7 KM if memory serves). The beach is beautiful and nude bathing is welcome! After our walk, we got back into the van and headed Puerto Angel; it noted 2 hours for this stop to eat (if you want) and swim etc. We only had time to eat and we only ordered appies. We were happy we did really enjoy the village and natural reserve as if it were not for that experience, this would not have been an enjoyable experience.

5.00Our Driver George was so kind and amazing. He took us to about 5-6 different locations including the eco wildlife tour. However, once you get to the wildlife tour, the driver hands you off to their spanish speaking tour guides. They did not want to speak english. The crocodiles and the whole experience was AMAZING other than not being able to hear anything in english. Other tour locals were kind enough to translate for us since the boat / eco men would not.

5.00this is also another hidden gem in Mazunte. One of my favorite parts of my trip to Oaxaca. I got to learn so many things about the reptiles. The staff was so friendly and I got to enjoy a nice coconut at the end.
