Maine sunsets are best appreciated from the water aboard the romantic Appledore II! This tall ship is limited to 49 passengers for an intimate sailing experience. She is a modern windjammer with luxurious accommodations and plenty of seating. The wide decks allow you to walk around with ease and take in all of the gorgeous sunset views.

Your sunset sailing cruise departs from Bayview Landing, at the heart of Camden Harbor. Mariners consider Camden Harbor one of the most beautiful harbors in New England, framed by the mountains greeting the sea. Feel the sense of adventure as the crew hoists the sails. Participate in this age-old tradition by joining in and help raise the sails. Take a turn at the wheel and feel the exhilaration of captaining a traditional wooden ship.
Schooner Appledore II Windjammer Cruise
The Appledore II was hand-built in 1978 at the Gamage Shipyard in Maine in the finest shipbuilding tradition. She proved her seaworthiness by circumnavigating the globe. She continues to sail a 2,000 mile ocean voyage twice a year between her summer home of Camden, Maine and winter home of tropical Key West, Florida.

5.00Very nice cruise in the bay. Staff was attentive. The boat was very nice. One lighthouse viewing. Eat before if taking the sunset cruise as all the restaurants were closed when we got off

5.00We took the 2-hr evening cruise on the Olad. Very enjoyable experience. Lovely ship, friendly crew. Captain was very accessible and happy to talk about the ship, navigation, the Maine coast, and his own experiences. Two things to remember: 1. Take a wrap - it gets chilly on the water, even in the summer. 2. Bring your own food and drink - none are available on the ship

5.00We sailed October 1 , so it was chili. That provided blankets , which was very thoughtful. The crew talked to everyone. They captain even sang old songs about the sea. Would take this cruise again😊

5.00The deckmates were all friendly, helpful and professional. Besides from keeping the boat afloat they served drinks and mingled with us. Fun group and beautiful views. Wish I could do this more frequently.

5.00The Appledore crew was fabulous and were very knowledgeable about the schooner and area and made us feel at home. Prompt courteous and great service on the beverages. Our seating was comfortable, and it is definitely a do again experience. We can't wait for next year to go again. Thank you Appledore crew safe sailing to Key West.
