This is not just a quick rental or a “try it alone” activity. You will be guided step by step by an experienced instructor at one of the most beginner-friendly windsurfing spots in Larnaca.
Mackenzie Beach offers a rare combination of sandy beach, easy water access, nearby cafés and a relaxed holiday atmosphere, while still being close to Larnaca city centre and the airport.
The lesson is private, so the pace is adapted to you, your confidence, and the wind conditions of the day.
It is a fun, active way to experience the sea in Cyprus, learn something new, and get real windsurfing guidance from a local watersports school. ♂️

Try windsurfing at Mackenzie Beach in Larnaca with a private 1-hour beginner lesson. This experience is designed for first-time windsurfers or anyone who wants a simple, safe introduction to the sport. Your instructor will start with a short beach briefing, explain the equipment, basic wind direction, body position, balance, and how to control the sail. Then you will go on the water and practise standing on the board, holding the sail, steering, and sailing in both directions. Mackenzie Beach is a great place to learn because the beach is sandy, the water is accessible, and the morning conditions are often light and beginner-friendly. No previous windsurfing experience is needed, but participants should be able to swim and feel comfortable in the water. Photos are included when conditions allow, so you can keep a memory from your first windsurfing session in Cyprus.

5.0010/10, would come here again. It's really good.They offer lessons and rental for a bunch of different water sports such as windsurfing and paddle boarding (SUP) among others. (They also provided me with a helmet and life jacket.) The people who work there are fluent in english and easy to talk to. When I first tried windsurfing I was a little nervous but the instructor's light hearted attitude put me at ease. The equipment was in good condition (as far as I could tell) and they even told me things to watch out for when renting elsewhere. I tried SUP lesson with my family too. Super. All in all, if you are near and want to try some sort of water sport I'd highly recommend this place.

Let me tell you why: Firstly, the equipment is exceptionally well-maintained, making it easy for both beginners and advanced windsurfers to enjoy the perfect conditions. There are also possibilities of other water sports to keep you entertained and having fun. Secondly, the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and willing to share their expertise, making it a never-ending learning experience. They are also one of the most amazing people you will ever meet, which makes for a fantastic atmosphere. Thirdly, the prices are great, and you'll get an individual and professional approach from the team. Margarita and Jörg are fantastic, and they will make sure you have an unforgettable experience. Lastly, the service offers a safe environment for learning, and it's conveniently close to Larnaca airport. There are so many more reasons to choose Windsurf City Cyprus. Don't overthink it - just go with the waves! It's truly amazing.

5.00Superb company. Both my teenagers had an amazing time experiencing windsurfing for the first time today. Excellent value for money, lovely people providing the coaching in a laid back relaxing atmosphere and both boys learnt new skills and have come away delighted. Recommend this hugely 😊
