In this wine tasting, you will sample five distinct premium local wines (two whites, one rosé, two reds), all crafted from local varieties. We will properly explain the characteristics of the wines and the history of the wineries. It's like a little travel around Romania in the heart of Bucharest! What else? Water and a mixed plate of cheese and cuts of meat (cheese only for vegetarians) are also included!

The charcuterie platter had several, delicious choices of both cheeses and meats, as well as a jam and honey. The bread was flavorful and warm. The voices of wines were all indigenous varietals that we’d never had before and presented palates different than other wines. The presentation and explanation were excellent.

It was a fabulous experience with a beautiful selection of wines and excellent customer service. Selection of cheese, bread and chutney accompanied the wines which was an added bonus. We felt welcomed with some mellow music to set the tone. We would definitely go again! 2 of us attended.

Great wine selection with friendly knowledgeable staff the participants were sat separately which I thought we would be together as I was. Solo guest, but it was a good evening and well worth the cost!

Just wonderful. Who knew Romania is a major wine producer? We learned so much and enjoyed our evening at Abel’s. Definitely an unexpected must-do.

The host was very friendly and he provided very good info about the Romanian wines. The cheese&meats platter is very good, it also comes with an amazing chilli jam.

We spent a lovely time at Abel’s wine bar. We experienced some delicious wines from small family run wineries. Dario is very knowledgeable and was able to describe the regions were the wine came from and how they influenced the flavours. Definitely recommend this activity!!
