Discover Eagle's Nest
This is the meeting point for the tour (Salzbergstrasse 45, 83471, Berchtesgaden, Germany). Our experienced guide will meet you at the top of the stairs, below the blue & white flags, at the Eagle’s Nest bus departure location. They will begin the tour with an explanation of the history of the Obersalzberg mountainside; an area that comprised a sprawling compound during the National Socialist regime, learning about why the mountainside was so decisive, and how and why it became so important to Hitler during the Nazi dictatorship. The introduction will be accompanied by a selection of period photographs to help you to visualise the grand structures and how they formerly made up the once vast Alpine heaquarters.

You will get lots of new information. Wear something warm even in the summer. Beautiful views if the weather is clear. We enjoyed lunch at the restaurant.
