As an authorized company to offer safari services in YALA National Park, all of our 4X4 vehicles have necessary approvals & all of our drivers have the special licenses to provide their service as safari drivers in the YALA National Park - issued by the Department of Wildlife Conservation in Sri Lanka.

Yala National Park
Embark on a thrilling wilderness adventure into YALA National Park, home to the world's most concentrated population of leopards! Sri Lankan leopard is a leopard subspecies native to Sri Lanka. YALA boasts approximately a hundred individual leopards. We aim to be in the YALA National Park in the first two hours of the day (6 to 8 a.m.) and/ or the last two hours of the day (4 to 6 p.m.). In the vernacular of wildlife enthusiasts, this is called "Golden Hours" which gives you the highest chance of spotting the elusive Sri Lankan leopards. Accordingly, we have planned 4 separate safari options for you to choose from. - Morning - Afternoon - 7-Hours - Full-day Within these tours to YALA, we will be able to give you opportunity to witness Sloth Bear, Elephants, Crocodiles, Monkeys, Spotted Dears, Mongoose, Birds and a plethora of other mesmerizing species. With every moment promising an unforgettable encounter, YALA offers a sanctuary where the extraordinary becomes the norm.

1.00Do not use this company - and be careful because they have lots of names. I booked Yala Wild Safaris ([email protected]) . I got an email confirmation from Diamond Tours which said my tour with Ajith Safari Jeep Tours was confirmed. Why they are terrible: - over priced. We could have done the tour for significantly less through our hotel .On our hotel safari they saw a leopard and had a beautiful experience. - My children were not well the night before - when I asked to push it back by a day they refused. They were rude and uncaring. Only when my friend messaged them harshly did they back down. - The driver was obnoxious. No love of what he was doing or care for us. Awful. - breakfast was expensive and yuck. We threw almost all of it in the bin Our hotel - La Safari Inn does great tours, and Slow Safaris was excellent too. These guys however don’t deserve to be in business.

3.00We booked a full day safari to Yala National Park. They did not register this properly, so we left the park after the morning. The driver barely spoke English which caused a lot of misunderstanding. We were charged to pay again. Eventually we all sorted it out with the manager and did also get an afternoon safari. So good to contact the company before having your safari.

5.00Incredible full day safari - one of the best days ever, and definitely a highlight of our trip. Our guide Ishan was amazing - he didnt follow the crowds which paid off nearly every time, as we weren't stuck in queues of jeeps, and we experienced the wildlife close with no one else around. Super friendly too. Breakfast and lunch were incredible and transfer pick up worked well. Definitely recommend!

1.00They write to you who pick you up at 5am at your hotel, then this is no longer possible. You have to find a solution and leave at 2:30 in the morning to be at 5am at the meeting point... Really badly managed, we lost our reservation. Cannot contact them until the same evening when you receive all this information. So no refund possible, it looks strangely like a very organized method. To flee more we made by another tour operator on Safari and if you want to make a traffic jam of 4x4 dirt road. In that case, you're in the right place.

2.00The operator made us wait for too long at the ticketing counter, let all vehicles go ahead. This is a very bad experience. We waited for over 30 minutes.

1.00Terrible driver, no animals, long waiting time and not even 4 hours in the park, saw the main road 4 times. Our driver was very slow and let everyone pass by. He wouldn't take the side roads, so we could at least see something of the park. Our driver spotted no animals, we had to find them ourselves. He barely stopped, so we had to tell him when we saw something. We had already seen a lot of elephants on our trip, so when we saw one in the park, we told our driver to go past them, but he didn't even listen to us. To summarize: a total waste of our time and money!
