Your photographer-guide knows Zagreb intimately and is able to teach many photographic techniques. Rely on him/her to give you a feeling for the local life and a way to use photography in capturing its essence. The city of Zagreb, capital of Croatia, is on the historic and political threshold between East and West, illustrating both the continental and Mediterranean spirit of the nation it represents. The city is protected from the cold northern winds by the mountain of Medvednica and opens up to the rest of the world thanks to a spacious plain and the Sava river. Zagreb, with a population of nearly one million, contains almost a quarter of the entire population of Croatia. Over the centuries, the city was inhabited by people coming from all over Europe; and, in recent years, by people coming from different parts of Croatia, ensuring a rich cultural life. Zagreb is a safe city whose doors are always open. The façades of Zagreb’s buildings reflect the ebb and flow of history, while its streets and squares bear witness to the coming together of the many cultures that have shaped the identity of this laid-back capital. Zagreb as we know it today dates back to the Middle Ages, and the settlements on two hills: secular Gradec, today known as the Upper Town; and clerical Kaptol. A trading center below the two settlements evolved into what is now the main square of Ban Josip Jelačić.There is also a legend of how the city was named. A governor, exhausted and thirsty from battle, asked a girl named Manda to grab (zagrabi, in Croatian) him out some water from a spring. The spring is now named Manduševac and the city became Zagreb.

Igor was very helpful in showing me how to better frame up my photos. He also taught me a couple things on my phone settings for the camera that I didn’t know. These new things learned have improved my photos.

We scheduled the tour upon our arrival in Zagreb. Our guide is Igor. As an experienced photographer, I am quite confident with my photography skills, but Igor showed me tips and tricks on how to get good photos and I learned so much from him. He brought us to interesting places around Zagreb and also explained to us some history. Thank you Igor! This is highly recommended.

My husband and I did a walking tour with Igor, with our focus being on having our pictures taken around town with the sites. Igor gave a great history tour, in addition to getting amazing photos of the two of us. We truly enjoyed our time with him, and are thrilled with the results. Thank you so much !! Also, he was very easy to schedule.
