This half-day tour offers 5 hours of wandering in the South part of Zakynthos where you can discover the wonderful Cameo Island and its wooden bridge. Join us in the turquoise waters of Laganas Bay, and experience visiting the area of the National Marine Park of Zakynthos. Marathonisi Island is one of the nesting beaches for the famous Careta Careta turtles. Hop on a glass-bottom boat to explore the scenery around you and capture photos of these magnificent sea creatures. Snorkel, swim at the Keri caves, relax, and enjoy the sun at Turtle Island. The tour ends by visiting the Aristeon eco olive oil press museum to taste some local delicacies.

There are no toilets on the boat or on Marathonisi Island. We will stop for the toilet before boarding the boat.

Please wear your swimming suit under your clothes. The places that you will visit on this tour include water interaction.

Cameo Island
After a convenient pickup from your hotel, head to the small port of Agios Sostis on Zante's southern shores where you will pass and take some amazing photos of the famous wooden bridge of Cameo, and explore this small idyllic wedding island, for a short swim or refreshment (There is a small extra charge of 5€ if you want to enter the island). You can also visit the small church that is built inside this peculiar rock formation and from which this port took its name.
National Marine Park of Zakynthos
Next, board the glass-bottom boat sit comfortably, and enjoy the views around you. The captain will start immediately to look out for the turtles so get ready with your cameras. You will be informed when turtles are going to surface to breathe, or when they pass under the glass bottom of the boat.

4.00The excursion itself was very nice, our driver was very funny and friendly, however the boat only had a very small glass bottom, so you could hardly see anything, under glass bottom boat we all imagined a little differently. The boat was also way too crowded. Furthermore, we had specifically stated that we would like to have a German-speaking guide (you could choose when booking) but nobody spoke German. Otherwise we had a very nice trip with great spots for swimming. On the way back, our driver George showed us another great vantage point.

1.00What a horrible experience. If you are an animal lover, DO NOT GO!!!! The boats literally hunt the turtles and then cage them in with their boats. When the turtles try to come up for air they move the glass bottom boat over them so people can take photos. Boats dock on Turtle island which is illegal and people don’t respect the nests.

5.00This was a perfect day, well organised and great communication compared to some of the shambles with tour companies in Zante. Our driver George was lovely and informative, arrived early to collect us and gave us clear instructions where to meet etc. The boat was one of the smaller ones so more private and not overcrowded. We went to the Olive press first to avoid 4pm crowds and it was a great idea. All in all the tour was perfect and we even saw a sea turtle. Highly recommend !

5.00Well organised and friendly, this is run by Dali Tours and Nautilus. We saw a turtle as promised, the swim stops are in great spots and you get close to the natural arches and caves.

Great experience, disappointing ending

4.00Great experience. Good scheduling, transport good, the guide was comunicative, gave us a lot of info about the turtles. Everything went well until the ride back when almost ruined everything. We chose not to activate the pick-up option and drive to their HQ in Zakynthos town. When we returned, even if has passed through Zakynthos didn't went to the HQ to drop us (with a 5 years kid) and 1 other person, it went pass Zakynthos abd drove an additional approx 30minutes to return in Zakynthos. When i asked the response was that the persons that were left of stayed in total more than us in the car and needed to balance the time spent in the car... Totally out of my logic. I chose to drive to the pick-up point, the others chose to be picked up... Very ugly and completely unnecessary ending. Very disappointed about this. My 4 stars ar going to the rest of the activities.
Disappointing trip

2.00We booked this trip due to the positive feedback, but this was a bit disappointing. We were first driven by van to a beach to watch turtle nests for half an hour where nothing could be seen, then again by van to Cameo Island which was basically free to visit, but no time because we had to go to the 'boat', with 34 men on a far too small boat crammed out to sea. And I did see 1 sea turtle always floating around and circling around it with 3 or 4 boats for 15 minutes, poor animal. Then we were 'dropped' on Turtle Island to swim for a whole hour (45 minutes). Then again with 34 men crammed on the boat out to sea, along the Keri caves and nicely swam along the way and dive off the boat. Then back to the Olive-oil museum, which is also just free for a very short story about the olive harvest. Well tis nice but don't expect too much from this tour.

3.00Dangers along the turtle. Here we stayed too long to take pictures. We felt this was not okay for animal welfare. The trip at sea to the Keri caves was very nice and swimming at the caves was a beautiful experience. Turtle island is a sandy beach where we stopped to swim. Here were several food boats so the swimming was not really relaxed. But in terms of food and drinks, good life. We would have liked it better if there had been some chairs. Further boat trip was fine
