  We always like to do a hop on hop off bus to all new cities we visit. This London sightseeing bus was one of our best. Good narrative on the audio and all buses were prompt.

  Our travel agent booked us with Big Bus Hop On/Hop Off Bus Tour, and later we were able to switch it to City Sightseeing London. Plus, we were able to add extras in the form of a second day and also a river cruise. It was so much fun! What a wonderful way to learn about a new country and city without having to pound the pavement in the summer heat! You could do it with or without the narration through the provided headphones. Either way, it was extremely scenic with beautiful, historic buildings and other landmarks around every corner. It also gave us a "free" way to get back to our hotel, which was just blocks from a drop off/pickup spot for the buses. And the river cruise, which we did the second day, was simply magical! Definitely would do this again and, whatever you do, do NOT leave out the river cruise! In fact, next time, I might extend it as it had another leg you could add on.   Thoroughly enjoyed the tour with the ability to get off the bus at places of interest. It was a beautiful day so sitting in the open air upper deck was a treat! It was easy to find the spots for pickup. A great way to get a taste of London!

  Wonderful way to see the city. Three different routes so to see everything you need to switch buses. Took 10 min at the switch.

  If you seek to absorb the wonderful historic views of London in a leisurely manner then I highly recommend this service. kudos to Kiran for taking her time to set out our options and for answering my many questions! Her diligent approach made our experience painless.

  Absolutely terrible experience! The booked service was not provided, so we were forced to buy new tickets from another provider on-site. We were traveling as a group with several older individuals and had booked the tickets in advance. On the day in question, there was obviously a problem with the organizer: At a stop on the blue route, not a single bus came for more than 45 minutes – even though it was stated that one should come every 20 minutes. Meanwhile, buses from other providers passed regularly every 15 to 20 minutes. Due to our travel group (including older individuals), it was not possible for us to walk to the red route (about a 25-minute walk). Other guests with the same problem did that, but it was not an option for us. In the end, we had to book with another provider at our own expense to be able to carry out our planned tour. I submitted photos, and since the buses are usually equipped with tracking systems, the incident would have been easy to trace. However, no solution was offered: TripAdvisor/Viator denies any refund (even partial), and the operator points out that the booking was made through a third party and therefore they are not responsible. My clear advice: Go directly to a stop and purchase your ticket on-site. This is not only more straightforward but often also cheaper.

  I was disappointed with the tour. It wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t terribly informative or helpful. They also didn’t completely stop at each location so we missed one of our planned stops and the driver had to pull over to let us out at a random spot. Another time we asked the timeline to arrive at a specific location they told us they don’t know (not sure how you don’t know the average timeline between points since they are on a schedule). Then they told us they would work it out to get us there, then when we missed the time and our prepaid tour he said, “well you’re late already so it doesn’t really matter now.” We asked before we boarded because we would have taken public transport if we knew he couldn’t get us there. It was quite frustrating and definitely not worth the money.

  Total waste of money. The bus schedule was very confusing and difficult to understand. I would never ever recommend this company to anyone tour London. Avoid at all cost.

• Didn’t stop at Paddington. Maps don’t reflect route, wasted £110. Choose another operator.

  Maps did not reflect route. Waited at Paddington for an hour in 30 degree heat. Called customer service 3 times until they told me the bus was not coming to Paddington. Wasted 110£ and over an hour of my weekend trip to London. Customer service refused to refund on the basis that I could have just gotten on the bus elsewhere… but we booked it specifically from our hotel location. Didn’t use the service and paid 110£.   It was a great route and we managed to see a lot! Very pleased with the staff! Kiran was very helpful and informative. She made the experience much better with her helpful and positive attitude!
