It's history but not as you know it! This is the story of the women NOT in the other tours - the women of Derry and the famous women who visited here'. The Herstory Derry Tour' is researched and led by award-winning filmmaker and academic Anne Crilly.
This unique tour tells the herstory of the women in the city and gives an additional insight into the historic city of Derry.

5.00Anna was absolutely amazing! She was so knowledgeable and shared interesting stories. She was able to share a ton of information while still being engaging! Would highly highly recommend this tour!

5.00This tour was the best decision we made! Anne is a stable of the community, and a storyteller through and through. She deftly weaves together the wider narratives about Derry, the Irish history, and her personal stories and knowledge. Her commitment to the women's movement of Derry and her personal herstory with the city makes for rich and nuanced insight. We also loved how intimate our tour was. As we walked around we passed absolutely giant groups of people in other tours, having to keep pace with one another. Meanwhile our party of 2 could go at a pace and tempo which felt right and appropriate for us, making the walking tour accessible. Thank you Anne. 😊

5.00Jumped on this tour on a rainy Easter Monday when the town was quiet due to the holiday. A great experience and a really interesting take on the history of Derry and all the wonderful women who have shaped its history. The tour is one hour so perfect for those with limited time in the city. Great to hear different stories. Must do tour.

5.00Anne came out to give the two of us a tour and we had a lovely time walking around the city. Not only was she very knowledgeable about the history of Derry and particularly the women, many of whom were forgotten, but we also spotted places we want to spend more time visiting that we might not have found on our own :)

5.00My twin 12 year old girls and I had a wonderful time learning about history through the eyes of the women of Derry. Anne was so knowledgeable but also a great story teller and my girls and I really enjoyed themselves and learned so much! I would highly recommend this walking tour for anyone who wants to get a more intimate experience learning about the Maiden city - Anne covers so much information you won't miss out on anything you could get on another tour but you will also get to learn about Herstory!
