Le Morne Brabant is a mountain of the south-west of Mauritius, on the peninsula of le Morne. Our team has been the first ever guides in 2004 to bring guests from all over the planet on this majestic rock. Declared World Heritage by UNESCO since July 6, 2008, the site is a sanctuary of the runaway slaves who would have committed suicide by jumping off the cliff of the mountain.
Le Morne Brabant is one of the most preserved and wildest mountains of the island. It is habitat to a very large variety of endemic and narrow-endemic species, such as the rare Trochetia Boutoniana, which is our floral emblem.
Some steeper parts of the ascent will require the use of our hands to progress safely towards the top, where we’ll discover the breath-taking views on the west and south-west lagoons and part of of the island !

Découvrez Le Morne Brabant ! Une montagne du sud-ouest de l'Île Maurice, sur la péninsule du Morne. Déclarer patrimoine mondiale par l'UNESCO le 6 Juillet 2008, la montagne est le sanctuaire des esclaves marrons, qui se seraient jettés du haut de celle-ci pour préserver leur liberté et échapper à leurs maîtres. Se situant sur des terres privées, le Morne Brabant est l'une des montagnes les plus préservées de l'Île. On y retrouve une très haute densité, et variété, d'espèces endémiques, tels que la très rare, Trochetia Boutonania, notre emblème florale nationale.

5.00Extremely worthwhile doing although it is challenging at times, the reward at the end is worth it. Vincent was very accommodating and adjusted the pace according to our fitness level. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and history. He was an excellent guide and we had lots of fun. Going on the 6:30am hike was definitely worth the early wake up!
First hike at le morne!!

5.00This was our first time hiking, and we were lucky to have Paj from yanature as our guide. He welcomed us early in the morning and was very attentive throughout the entire journey to the mountain. He took plenty of time to explain the local vegetation, the views, and the surroundings, and he even helped us take photos. We recommend him 100% and truly appreciated the experience.

5.00Henri was the best! We had a phenomenal time. He was extremely knowledgeable and stopped for pictures at great spots. Super safe and a great day. Henri was an amazing guide and the whole experience at Yanature was great.

5.00We had an amazing hike at Le Morne Mountain, and a big part of that was thanks to our guide, Rowin Narain. He was professional, knowledgeable, and very friendly throughout the entire hike. He made sure everyone felt safe, kept the group motivated, and shared interesting information about the mountain and its history. His positive attitude and encouragement made the climb even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Rowin to anyone looking for a memorable and safe hiking experience at Le Morne. 5.00Had a great time hiking up Le Morne, really scenic views and a nice sun rise as we summited. Paj was a very knowledgeable and fun guide, giving us lots of local information about the surrounding nature and fielding all our questions. He also made sure everyone safely made it up and down with frequent information on how to tackle each part. I would highly recommend!

5.00Paj was an excellent guide who gave us confidence and patience getting up the hike and down again. Would highly recommend the hike to anyone looking for an adventure. We went early (4:30am start!) which I would recommend for avoiding crowds and heat.
