A Moremi Day Trip gives you the chance to experience the diverse habitats of the world-renowned Moremi Game Reserve and offers amazing game viewing opportunities. Ideal for travellers with limited time, you will spend the day exploring the western section of the reserve, with game viewing experiences dictating your route.
Covering approximately a third of the eastern portion of the Okavango Delta, the Moremi Game Reserve, its tall woodlands and spreading floodplains fringed with majestic palms make it one of Africa’s most scenic wildlife areas.

Moremi Game Reserve
Your guide will pick you up very early (05h30) from your Maun based accommodation in a game drive vehicle. You will then head northwards to Moremi Game Reserve. 50km into your day trip, you’ll pass the buffalo fence and game viewing will begin.
Moremi Game Reserve
Stretch your legs and enjoy a morning tea/coffee and light breakfast at South Gate, the nearest entrance from Maun to Moremi - 99 km away from Maun. As we enter the reserve shortly after breakfast, be on the lookout for a diversity of ecosystems which come with an amazing array of wildlife sightings, birding and natural beauty. Your professional guide, using his knowledge and experience of the area will ensure that you enjoy the very best of what the reserve has to offer. Here sightings of elephant, hippo, crocodile, buffalo, impala, giraffe, tsessebe, zebra, blue wildebeest, sable antelope, greater kudu, red lechwe, and waterbuck are common. Other equally incredible wildlife species that can be spotted are lion, leopard, cheetah, spotted hyena and African wild dog. The reserve is also home to a surprising diversity of birds, from water birds to forest dwellers, so expect excellent birding too.

5.00Due to flooding the trip was changed to Kaziikini Concession but its been a very nice day. Please remember warm clothing as it quite cold in a open car 06:00 am in June. A very nice drive with breakfast and lunch arranged by Rennsexcursions which arranged everything, less animal then expected but a warm and nice day, absolutely something to recommend.

5.00Extraordinary day from Semowi lodge. Pelo our excellent guide was very caring for us and knew how to find and approach animals in safety and respect. On the program, bcp of elephants, giraffes, birds but also zebras, wildebeest, lions, ostriches, buffaloes... and sometimes several at the same time! In short a memorable memory for the three of us!!’

5.00Renns Excursions were excellent. They kindly came to our camp two days prior to take EFTPOS payment so that we didn’t have to mess around with withdrawing cash from an ATM. The actual day itself was magical. Our guides Pelo and Leti picked us up from the Okavango Delta and took us to Moremi. We were informed that we would have limited time in the reserve due to our departure from the Delta but they kindly extended our time and drove around all day in the heat to facilitate us seeing as many animals as we could. We got incredibly lucky and saw lions, giraffes, elephants, zebras and even a leopard as we were leaving. Packed lunch and heaps of cold beverages were lovely and the guides Pelo and Leti were very attentive to all of our needs and requests. Would definitely go again and recommend to everyone.

5.00Great day in Moremi. Pelo was a wonderful guide very knowledgeable and friendly! We saw lots of animals, lions, and birds! He put in a lot of effort to help me see all the animals! Lunch was tasty and plenty of cold water was supplied. I highly recommend this experience if you are in Maun. It is a big day in the car, but well worth it.
a bumpy road to it, but a visit that is definitely worth it!

4.00A wonderful visit to the park! Many animals seen, good explanation from the guide, who was neatly on time to pick us up in the morning. The road to the park is bad.

5.00We had a fantastic day! Our guide Pelo was very nice, skilled and answered all of our questions. He showed us all the animals - 19 lions together and we also saw a leopard! Thanks to Pelo, we got a very close look at the animals. Breakfast and (vegeterian) lunch were also very good!

5.00We had an awesome daytrip to Moremi with Pelo. Beside the ride, Pelo provided us many interesting facts about the plants and animal habits. As a Highlight we spotted 2x a Lepard and a big lions squad. We defiitely can recommend this trip. Best regards. Tabea and Adrian
