The current railway bridge was inaugurated on 24 June 1992. It is written by a Portuguese Engineer - Edgar Cardoso. The next tower was built by the same Engineer at the height of the bridge to study the progress of the work.

5.00We had an absolutely wonderful time on our Douro River boat tour with Susana and Sérgio! From the moment we stepped aboard, they made us feel welcome and comfortable. As Porto natives who were born and raised in the city, they shared an authentic local perspective that made the experience even more meaningful. Susana was an excellent host, sharing the fascinating history of the area, while Sergio was the perfect captain, making the journey smooth, safe, and incredibly relaxing. The thoughtful touches of delicious cheese, fresh fruit, local wine and even a Polaroid memento made the experience even more special. Cruising along the beautiful river while enjoying the stunning scenery was the perfect way to unwind. If you're looking for a peaceful, authentic, and memorable experience on the Douro River, we highly recommend this tour with Susana and Sergio. It was a wonderful end to our time in Portugal!

5.00This experience was so wonderful!! We last minute wanted to book a sunset boat ride and couldn’t be happier we chose this. Meeting spot was easy and the boat was perfect. We learned a bit about the city as we embarked and sipped wine/ snacked but then were given time to sit on the front and just enjoy!! A perfect combo of learning and relaxation. We will def be recommending this to our friends. Thank you Susana and Sergio!!!

5.00It was perfect for our day in Porto. Susana and Sergio were so welcoming and a joy to talk with during the trip. They gave us so much information about Porto which we loved learning. The food was so good and she had quite a few wine options!

Their kindness, approachability, and professionalism were exceptional. Throughout the experience, they explained every detail with passion and dedication, making everything even more special. We enjoyed a fantastic morning sailing with them in a relaxed and very welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, they offered us cava, champagne, tapas, and delicious food, taking care of every detail to ensure we were comfortable and enjoyed ourselves to the fullest. More than an activity, it was an experience filled with good moments, conversation, laughter, and extraordinary human interaction. We felt truly well taken care of and very comfortable at all times. 5.00Absolutely perfect moment. Suzanna takes great care of us throughout the trip and tells us the history of the bridges. Sergio is a very experienced pilot and makes the trip very relaxing even when the water is choppy! I highly recommend this experience!

5.00This is a great way to see Porto from the river. The hosts were really friendly & made us feel at ease aboard their boat. They dished up a delicious tapas with green wine which was also delicious. Susanna was very informative & answered any questions we had. A great way to spend a couple of hours in Porto. Would definitely recommend
