Kathmandu Durbar Square
Head to Kathmandu Durbar Square, which is home to a house full of woodcarvings of different gods and goddesses. In this 3-story palace, you will also find the living goddess, Kumari. Both Hindus and Buddhists venerate her. You will also visit Old Freak Street, named due to its unique history of the 1960s and 1970s. Explore the intriguing little boutique shops and restaurants.
Swaymbhunath
Next visit Swayambhunath, also called the Monkey Temple due to the number of rhesus monkeys that call this place home. The sanctuary is up a long set of stairs, where at the top you will find amazing views of the Kathmandu Valley. At the top there is a vast stupa and other various Hindu sanctuaries.

5.00We spent three days with Narayan and had a fantastic time. He certainly wasn't responsible for the beautiful weather, but he certainly was for the excellent route planning, the breathtaking viewpoints, and the great atmosphere. He took us to Nagarkot for sunrise, to Shivapuri Peak and showed us Bhaktapur and Lalitpur-Patan. He's just as knowledgeable about culture and history as he is about nature, making him a great guide for any terrain.

1.00The tour provider was a no show - we tried contacting them numerous times via phone and message - phone switched off and no reply message. We ended up spending more money to book through our hotel.

5.00A really thorough tour of all of the key sights in Kathmandu. Our guide Narayan was very friendly and knowledgeable. He also took us to a fantastic place for lunch which was traditional Nepalese food. We felt very safe and looked after. The driver was also courteous and efficient. A great one day tour of Kathmandu, would throughly recommend!

5.00Had such a wonderful time on this trip! My tour guide was Narayan Makaju and he did a great job making me feel at home! He took me to all of the best spots and to some great shopping areas, and lunch was amazing as well. Would recommend this tour to anyone trying to see everything that Kathmandu has to offer!

5.00I highly recommend this tour. You can see all the major city attractions in one day with very friendly and well-informed tour guide Narayan. The lunch in a local place is a good opportunity to try the real Nepalese food.

5.00My friend and I went on this tour in March 2017. Our guide was Narayan. He was an expert at the sites and kept us very well informed throughout the day. In addition, he was adaptable to our needs.....we had already been to some of the scheduled sites and he expertly found other amazing places to show us. I loved the tour and left feeling that I had an in depth experience of Kathmandu. I would highly recommend this tour......a word of caution....it did include a visit to a Hindu temple by the scared river where cremations were occurring....this may be unnerving to some people.....

5.00Had an amazing time with Narayan exploring KTM. I was picked up in a comfortable car and he took care of me all day. It is a great way to see the city in a day and cover the most interesting sights in the shortest amount of time. I highly recommend this tour.
