The journey from the start to Biester Palace will be 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic. During the journey, a stop will be made for photos and stories at Fonte da Sabuga, overlooking the National Palace and Quinta da Regaleira. The stop at the Palace for photos and stories will last between 5 and 10 minutes. There will be a total of stops between 15 to 20 minutes and 15 to 20 minutes en route.
Castelo dos Mouros
From the Palace to the Castelo dos Mouros the journey will take 15 to 30 minutes. During the journey there will be several stops for photos and stories and with panoramic views of the Castelo dos Mouros and Palácio da Pena and, if desired, a short walk of 5 to 10 minutes along the walls of the Castelo dos Mouros. We will continue towards Palácio da Pena where we will finally see the oldest part of it, which will be the Monastery. Here the end of the Tour begins if it only lasts 60 to 90 minutes, then descends to the National Palace. You can now extend the tour to 2 hours.

5.00Antonio was referred to me by our AirBnb host, and after a quick, thorough exchange with Antonio through WhatsApp, we had our Sintra tuk tuk tour booked and planned out. We were able to curate our itinerary a bit to include a scheduled stop at Quinta da Regaleira and any other points of interest that were on our radar, but mainly Antonio whipped us expertly through Sintra like a pro, stopping to share his favorite hot spots, points of interest and bits of history with genuine joy and appreciation for his country and the area he calls home. He was a breeze to communicate with before and during the tour when we were dropped off for the Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira. We felt safe and cared for and without a worry with Antonio behind the tuk tuk wheel. It was great fun to ride in the traditional gas-powered tuk tuk rather than the newer electric models, but that also made the ride a bit noisier, bumpier and more rugged. It’s a more personal, more classic experience altogether and Antonio was a great guide.

5.00We had an exceptional time with António Machado, driver and guide of Antonio Happy Tours in Sintra. We departed from the station to ascend the Serra de Sintra, and from the very first minutes, António made the journey exciting. Born and living in Sintra, he knows the region like no one else. He speaks excellent French, in addition to Portuguese, which made the exchanges very pleasant. Throughout the journey, he shared his love for his city, explained the history of the region, and recounted significant events with enthusiasm and precision. His passion, kindness, and deep knowledge of Sintra truly enriched our visit. We highly recommend António for discovering Sintra differently, with an authentic, attentive guide who is passionate about his work.

5.00Antonio MADE THE TRIP! Honestly, he was one of the best guides I've had! I am not just speaking in Portugal but at an international level! He did not rush us, he clearly explained everything. It felt like we were just out exploring Sintra & Cascais on a Tuk Tuk with an old friend. He provided us with all the tips, sent us to the best spots to take the best pictures.
