Escape the crowds and experience the peaceful side of Mt. Fuji!
At 2,305m (7,500ft), the 5th Station offers stunning views and clean mountain air—perfect for a relaxing walk. On this tour, we’ll hike a 2.5 km (1.6 mile) section of the historic Ochudo Trail, once used by pilgrims on spiritual journeys.
The path is mostly flat with gentle slopes, making it suitable for all ages and fitness levels. A certified local mountain guide who speaks English will share stories about Mt.Fuji’s unique nature, culture and sacred past.
After the hike, enjoy an authentic Japanese lunch at a mountain hut. (Please bring some cash for the meal.)
This tour is available from May to December, and we provide free rental gear so even outdoor beginners or travelers without hiking equipment can join!
Take your time, walk slowly and let Mt.Fuji’s quiet beauty leave a lasting impression.

Mt. Fuji 5th Station
This is the entrance for peoplo who climb up Mt.Fuji. It is the most popular of the four 5th stations on Mount Fuji and the best developed station. There is Komitake shrine which is an ancient shrine built more than 1,000 years ago. Let's start the tour after praying for the goddess of Mt.Fuji!

We're going to have a lunch break at Okuniwaso which is one of the mountain huts on the 5th station.Lunch menus are only Japanese food and not vegetarian friendly.It will cost 1,000～3,000 yen/person.

5.00Yuki is a very experienced mountain guide and an excellent connoisseur of the region. He has been to Mount Fuji 50 times, shares interesting stories about Mount Fuji during the ascent, is attentive, very friendly, and accommodates personal wishes, always considering individual fitness. It was a thoroughly successful climb in perfect weather. All expectations were met. Afterwards, we enjoyed excellent udon at a local restaurant. Yuki organized everything perfectly. Yuki speaks perfect English. Five stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yuki is a highly experienced mountain guide and an excellent expert on the region. He has climbed Mount Fuji more than 50 times and shares fascinating stories about Mount Fuji throughout the ascent. He is attentive, very friendly, and always takes personal wishes and individual fitness levels into account. It was a thoroughly successful climb in perfect weather, and all expectations were fully met. Afterwards, we enjoyed excellent udon at a local restaurant. 5.00So glad I signed up with Yuki to be my guide on this easy hike on Mt Fuji. He is very personable and speaks english well. My hike on the 5th Staion trail was a combination nature hike and forest bathing. Beautiful! I highly recommend this pilgrim walk with Yuki as a guide.

5.00Yuki was an excellent Guide. We were fortunate to be able to actually do this walk from the Fifth Station in perfect weather. The lunch at the mountain restaurant was absolutely delicious (we paid for that). All in all, it was a really worthwhile 5 hours spent in beautiful surroundings with a companiable Guide.

5.00We spent the day with Yuki!! It was an absolutely incredible day and Yuki has a beautiful way of telling the stories of Mt.Fuji. He does a great job explaining the history of the mountain and the historical periods that led to the region as it is today. Despite all the questions that we had, he was patient and answered them all. His climbing and hiking experience is clear and he was 100% committed to us while on the tour. I would highly recommend Yuki to anybody wanting an experienced guide for Mt Fuji!!!

5.00It was a loo tour, where I could fully enjoy Mt. Fuji without climbing to the top! My guide Yuki guided me through the history and plants of Mt. From the fifth station, I could see the summit up close and was simply overwhelmed by the majesty of Mt. I also got to see the Five Lakes of Fuji and the Sea of Clouds below, which gave me a wonderful view that I would never see in my daily life. Yuki's guided tour, full of humor in Kansai dialect, is super recommended!!!

5.00Really amazing trip in the most beautiful Japanese surroundings. We had the opportunity to take a lot of photos and our incredibly cute and place-known guide made the experience perfect. Our guide Yuki was both well English speaking and well known to the locals, which among other things allowed us to experience a sweet authentic dining place on the mountain without other tourists. The tour can clearly be recommended also for people who do not walk normally. 10/10.
