We provide a personalized guided experience through Sri Lanka in your own chauffeur driven private vehicle. We take the hassle out of booking hotels and finding activities . Take your own time, Flexible schedule and activities. Think of it as your personal vehicle and driver taking you around the Island with all hotels curated, booked and waiting for your arrival.
The journey starts with a showcase of history and culture before climbing up to the hills to see the picturesque mountain ranges filled with lush tea plantations. Then you decent down to the jungles to experience some wildlife at a national park. Finally you set direction to the coast to spend some relaxing time on the beaches before ending on the western coastal capital Colombo.
You will travel through 6 major towns around the Island and visit 4 UNESCO World heritage sites. This trip covers temples, local village experiences, beaches, waterfalls and historic sites all packed into 12 days.

Arrival and Meet and Greet at airport. Drive to Hotel in Negombo (30 mins) Spend a few hours on the beach and stay the 1st night in Negombo. Depending on the time you arrive that day, you will be able to visit sites in Negombo such as the Fish Market, visit the beach and take a stroll on the main street in the evening. Prepare for the journey ahead.

Drive to Dambulla (3 hours) Enjoy 2 night stays in the Dambulla Area. While in Dambulla, you will visit the Famous Cave Temples and the spice gardens in the area.
Golden Temple of Dambulla
Hike up-to the epic rock cave temples which is filled with huge buddha statues. A local tour-guide guide will guide take you through this spectacular ancient monastery carved into the rock formation. As with all temples guest must be appropriately dressed, covering up shoulders and legs.

Sigiriya Craft Village
Guided Village Experience - Get on a traditional bullock cart and be taken through a local village to a near by lake. You will then get onto a traditional boat that will take you across the lake onto a house in the village. You will then be given a display and lesson in some simple local cuisine and get a chance to eat what you prepare.
Pidurangala Rock
It is less well known Hike, than Sigiriya however when you get to the peak of the Pidurangala rock offers stunning views of the main-attraction Sigiriya. Go around 4.30 pm to catch the sunset and enjoy the cool breeze while taking in panoramic views of the surrounding area.

Drive to Kandy (3.5 hours) Spend 2 nights in the hill capital Kandy. Whilst in Kandy you will be visiting the Royal Botanical Gardens, The Temple of the Tooth Relic of the Buddha and Udawattakele Sanctuary and more.
Royal Botanical Gardens
The driver will drop you off at the entrance to the garden which includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spicers, medicinal plants and palm trees. Attached to it is the "National Herbarium of Sri Lanka. Spend some time taking a stroll and discovering the flora and fauna of Sri Lanka.
Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic
Be taken on a guided tour inside what the locals call Sri Dalada Maligawa. The Second UNESCO world Heritage site on this journey. It’s a beautiful temple built during the era of the Kingdom of Kandy and houses a tooth which belonged to the Buddha. To enter the site, you will need to cover up appropriately and remove your shoes. The Kandy Temple is also known for the Asela Perehera Festival which is hosted annually in the month of August.
Kandyan Cultural Centre
Take a stroll through the city of Kandy and the famous Kandy Lake. Stop by the Cultural center and witness a traditional Kandyan Dance act. Then move along to the gem museum and gem gallery.

Drive to Nuwara-Eliya ( 3 Hours) Spend 1 night in Nuwara-Eliya Nuwara Eliya is Tea-country and also sometime referred to as Little England. Whilst here, you will visit a tea factory and enjoy the many tea estates and waterfalls in the area. The climate is cool and you will need to pack a sweater for this destination.
Pigeons Nest Tours
Drive along the curvy roads and witness the perfectly groomed endless tea fields. Visit a tea factory and see how the world famous Ceylon tea is processed. Witness the beautiful waterfalls cascading in the background and visit a waterfall during the day.

Little Adam's Peak View Point
Meet the driver early in the morning to start the hike to the peak of 1141 m high mountain. It is fairly easy to climb, with a good path all the way up. Put on your sports shoes for this one as you will be climbing for about an hour. Catch panoramic views of lush mountains, wateralls and fields. On a clear day you may even see as far as the southern coast of Sri Lanka from the peak.
Nine Arches Bridge
The famous bridge connecting two bog mountains when constructing the Badulla – Colombo railway. It is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in the country. Take a walk through the tea fields and a local village to get to the bridge and catch a train passing by . Spend the evening at Chill Cafe Ella

Drive to Udawalawa (2 hours) Spend 1 night in the wilderness of Udawalawa. Whilst in Udawalawa visit the many places with abundant wildlife, flora and fauna.
Elephant Transit Home (ETH)
The centre allows you to visit at the feeding times of 10.30am, 2.30pm, and 6.30pm.Here you will see orphaned elephant calfs being cared and fed until they are strong enough to return to the wild.

Take a City Tour around Colombo and visit sites such as the Ganagaramaya Lake Temple, The Red Mosque, the history museum, and the shopping district. Visit the Galle Face green and the street food markets at night. Do some last minute shopping for souvenirs.

From start to finish, our driver from Summer Voyagers, Sujith or “Suji” as we more lovingly got to know him went above and beyond helping provide us such an amazing experience in Sri Lanka. He showed us places and experiences that we had not planned and would only know about with local knowledge. These little experiences and tips helped make the trip so special and a lot easier and sometimes helped us save money. Above all else he was exceptionally trustworthy and we felt safe with him. He even helped us when we needed to receive a refund from a Sri Lankan tour company by receiving it to his local bank account and then withdrew it for us. Was well worth getting a driver for the 2weeks we travelled from the south up to Polonnaruwa, then Kalkudah and finally to the airport

5.00We had the best time here in Srilanka because of Nuwan. He is extremely professional, punctual, patient and caring. He made sure we were always comfortable and safe. He took great photos and videos of us. We found a friend here in Srilanka and we are already looking forward to another trip with him.

5.00Fantastic trip with a lovely driver Sudath, who was very accommodating, polite and courteous. We had only one hiccup with one of the hotels, as we requested twin beds for all our trip, but the 2nd bed in this particular hotel was a child bed and not appropriate for an adult. Sanoj (manager of summer voyages) and sudath worked to sort this out for us and we were taken to an alternative hotel which was excellent and met all our needs.

At 4 a.m., Summer Voyages took the time to understand our itinerary and arranged a driver for our 12-day trip almost immediately. Sudath, our driver, looked after us throughout our entire stay — he was there whenever we needed him, always at our beck and call. When our train was cancelled, he quickly adjusted our plans and took us to tea plantations, waterfalls, and other beautiful sites along the way. Sudath truly became a special part of our holiday — always polite, kind, and making sure we felt safe on Sri Lanka’s wonderfully wild roads. Sanoj (owner) took so much weight off my shoulders by organising my tour, suggesting locations, accomodation & dates. Sujith was so flexible with all my changes along the way. Waited patiently if I decided to stay longer in any given place. The Honda Fit shuttle was perfect. Spacious & comfortable with Bluetooth music & AC. 5.00Our car and driver trip around Sri Lanka with summer voyages was very good. We had the best driver named BALA. He was very knowledgeable, apart from being very courteous, obliging, patient and respectable. We were like family and he took us wherever we wanted, especially the best restaurants, for the food we wanted to eat. On the last day, we met his wife and son, who were a delight to meet. We had dinner together in this lovely restaurant. We are happy we toured with Summer Voyages and had BALA as our driver.
