Imagine a place where the sands of the desert have been touched by the magic of Hollywood stardust. You've found it with this two-day tour, which'll show you some of Tunisia's most famous film locations. You'll visit a Roman amphitheater, explore underground cave houses, cross a vast salt lake, and discover a secluded oasis at the fringes of the Sahara.

Embark on your sandy adventure at El Jem Colosseum. You'll then head to Matmata, where you'll have lunch and visit the rock-cut cave homes that starred in two Star Wars films. Finish the day in the oasis town of Douz for an overnight stay. This is a great spot to take an optional camel or carriage ride in the desert.

After breakfast, you'll cross Chott el Djerid, a mirage-filled salt lake, before jumping into a 4x4 for a ride to Onk Jemal, where you'll discover the film set city built for Star Wars. After lunch in Gafsa, you'll round off the tour with a photo stop in Kairouan, a great place to take lots of Instagram-worthy pictures.

It was an excellent experience and very well organized. The driver and the guide, Mr Mo were both exceptional. They did everything they could to see as much things as possible in just two days!!! Douz, El Jem, Mos Espa, hotel and restaurant very good , taking into consideration the very low price of the excursion

  • Good Value for money trip!

It was a great experience overall (4.5/5). Very informative and supportive guide, set places and route. Every event planned to the tee and executed on time. It's 1100km (approx) across Tunisia over a gruelling terrain. Lucky we did it in January, in sunshine and milder weather. Though the places to eat and sleep were decent, believe the food could be better. Loved the camel ride Avg 4×4 ride deep into Sahara.

Very good tour, quite tiring as you do travel 750 miles but very worth it! You do so much once in a lifetime activities. I’m very sorry to not remember their names but the tour guide and bus driver were brilliant and lovely!

Well, it very well planned and the guide followed the plan as it was. People were always punctual so that help es a lot. The places we visited were very nice and interesting: the troglodite family welcomed us in their home, the dromedary ride to the sunset was beautiful and the Sahara exploration in the all-terrain vehicles was good. However, the guide was Kind of harrising us to tip everyone we met: him, the bus driver, the dromedary guides, the all-terrain vehicle drivers. Not only was he very, very insistent on giving tips, but he also asked if we had actually tipped the tour bus driver before saying goodbye. I dont know, maybe its a cultural thing, but this was a paid tour, not like the ones you do in big cities for free and then you are expected to give money to the guide at your will. If Faris is your guide, you know what to expect.

  • Nothing special.

Too long a drive to such attractions, distances too long (1200 km round trip). Basically spend 2 days on the bus, the time spent at the sights is short. Similar places like a salt lake or similar activities like a desert safari can also be done in other countries with less travel time wasted. There is no point in wasting 2 days on this tour. Camel ride, ATV ride, jeep ride are quite boring, doing conveyor work. The colosseum in El Jem is worth a visit. To be honest, this tour unfortunately didn't surprise us with anything.
