This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to walk directly on the surface of the iconic Perito Moreno Glacier. Unlike standard viewpoints, this experience allows you to explore the glacier itself with professional mountain guides, using crampons to safely navigate natural ice formations. The combination of boat navigation, glacier hiking, and breathtaking Patagonian scenery makes this one of the most unique experiences in Argentina.

After hotel pickup in El Calafate, travel to Los Glaciares National Park while your guide provides information about the region and the Perito Moreno Glacier. At Bajo de los Sombras Port, board a boat to cross the Rico Arm of Lake Argentino, enjoying close views of the glacier’s impressive southern face. Upon arrival, expert mountain guides provide a safety briefing before fitting crampons and helmets. Participants are divided into small groups (maximum 20 people, one guide every 10 passengers). The glacier trek is of moderate difficulty and includes approximately one hour walking on the ice. You will explore crevasses, blue ice formations, seracs, and meltwater lagoons within this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The experience also includes walking along the lake shore, moraine, and Patagonian forest, totaling around three hours of guided hiking. Before returning, enjoy a hot drink and one final boat view of the glacier. The full excursion with transfers lasts approximately 10 hours and includes a guided visit to the Perito Moreno Glacier walkways. The activity operates subject to weather and safety conditions.
