If you visit Puerto Escondido without surfing, you haven’t had the full experience. We offer everything you need in order to surf the amazing waves of the most iconic surf town in Mexico.

We give the option of adding both GoPro and drone footage to your lesson.

We adapt the lesson to your level, ensuring that you are always comfortable in the water and have the best time. The location of the classes depend on the size of the waves, so it will differ from day to differ. We will provide you with the location before the class.

The most important thing is that you feel comfortable in the water and have fun.

We start every lesson with a detailed introduction to water safety and theory. We also practice your pop-up and when you are ready, we enter the water and start the fun part – surfing! We adapt the lesson to your level: if you are a beginner, we push you into the waves, and if you are intermediate we provide you with coaching and help you catch the waves on your own. We also have a surf house called Casa Silva for our surf students, so let us know if you want the full experience with surf and accommodation while staying in Puerto Escondido.

Amazing surf experience! The instructors were super knowledgeable, and kind. They took the time to explain ocean conditions, positioning, and technique in a way that was easy to understand. The lesson felt very personal, with great feedback and encouragement throughout. La Punta itself is a perfect spot to learn, and catching waves there was unforgettable. Such a beautiful place. I walked away smiling, tired, and excited to try again. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing time. The 2 instructors we had today were fabulous and made sure my 10 yr old daughter was safe and their instructions were fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

I had the best week surfing with Ari in Puerto Escondido! He taught me so much and always kept me safe! There are many schools but I highly recommend going with them because they are the pros when it comes to fun but also safety. While I was out there someone lost their board and needed help and it was people from Ari Silva school always the first there to help! The whole team was great too they all gave me tips and helped me avoid bigger waves! Can’t wait to be back , thanks again 😀

I would highly recommend a surfing lesson with Silva Surf School! I took 3 lessons with them while I was in Puerto, at Playa Carrizalillo and La Punta. Oni and Iven were amazing! They made sure I had fun, was safe, and learned to surf! If I had more time in Puerto Escondido I would have taken even more lessons!

The instructor was super cool and nice, everything was very smooth and great teacher. We easily stood up and caught some long waves, maybe 50m. 10/10 experience. Thanks to the Silva’s and Oni.

This morning my partner and I had a 2hr surf lesson with Oni and we had the most amazing time! He first taught us the basics on land until he felt we were ready and then brought us to the water. He gave great instructions, was really nice and fun to hang out with. We caught nearly every wave with his help and when we returned he gave us great tips and tricks to improve. The location was perfect and we had nice long runs and really enjoyed everything. He really took care of our comfort, made sure we were ready and gave us great attention and advice. Could not recommend more! Special thanks as well to Ari for helping us organize our booking and photos. Definitely book with them if you are considering surf lesssons in puerto escondido.

Good surfschool. Would book again. Cool guys! Got almost private lesson. Something to take into account is when you are a complete beginner is that it can be quite crowded in the water (Playa Carrizalillo) with other surfers / instructors.
