Have you always dreamt of riding off into an African sunset? That is precisely what we do on this evening & moonlight trail. Planned around the full moon, it is a truly unique way to explore the area at a gentle pace allowing you to take in the breathtaking views and magnificent sunsets at the historic Vrede en Lust Wine Estate, and neighbouring farms nestled in the foothills of the Simonsberg in South Africa’s most celebrated Franschhoek wine valley. The speed of this ride will depend on your riding abilities, but the beauty of the African skies will not disappoint. We will stop at the lookout point for some lovely Sundowners and snacks to enjoy another Gorgeous day in Africa and the ultimate African Sunsets. The duration of this ride is usually 2.5hr to 3hrs. The law prohibits the sale of alcohol to a minor (anyone under the age of 18 years). It is not prohibited for minors to buy, attempt to buy or consume alcohol.

5.00We are so happy to have found Michelle & Wine Valley Adventures in Franschoek! The horses were just fabulous and so well cared for - they were in excellent condition, which is very important for us. We rode up the mountain and through vineyards, and enjoyed every minute. It was most definitely a highlight of our trip. The wine tasting afterwards at Vrede en Lust was a fantastic bonus. Thank you, Michelle, we loved meeting you, Leonard & Gavin, and hearing your stories! You will not find a more professional or experienced riding outfit - and communication was clear and easy with WhatsApp. Beautiful memories made and we found a new friend - we will be back!!
