Kakadu National Park
We rise and shine early on day 2 and make our way south in Kakadu National Park. Today we’ll spend the day soaking up the spectacular natural beauty of the area, hiking through lush monsoon rainforests, and swimming in pristine plunge pools and waterfalls surrounded by steep escarpments and rocky cliffs. We aim to visit one or more of the available waterfalls depending on the group's physical ability to complete the hike(s). This can include any of the following: Motor Car Falls, Moline Rockhole, Maguk (Barramundi Gorge), or Jim Jim Falls. There are many factors affecting accessibility although your guide will ensure you get the best experience possible. Time permitting, we stop at Burrungkuy (Nourlangie Rock), another indigenous rock art site where archaeologists have uncovered works dating back over 20,000 years old. We explore the evolving social, cultural and environmental changes to the area over time before making our way back to camp for a hearty dinner and a well-earned rest.

Everything has gone perfectly and according to plan. It is a fun tour where you get to know Kakadu and Litchfield thoroughly. Alex is a magnificent guide, very organized and with the advantage of mastering the Spanish language besides English.

Everything it promised and more, Rick was a great guide, informative and fun, the system were well planned with regards to the heat. Lots of swimming hole stops and plenty of refreshments. Loved the cave paintings and sunset views over Arnhem land. Plenty of spooky stories about the lightening man. The camp was good with a lively swimming pool and bar. Rick kept us hugely entertained until the very last drop off .

It was really great! Our guide Aaron was super friendly and we had fresh, healthy food at all times. The national parks are absolutely worth seeing, but you have to be prepared to sit in Van a lot. Personally, I didn’t find Litchfield National Park as impressive as Kakadu National Park, as it’s almost all about waterfalls for swimming.

It was a great trip. The only way it could have been better is if I had done the 5-day trip instead. Great shoutout to Leigh, for his guided journey through the landscape, wildlife & history of this beautiful part of Australia

This trip was the highlight of my year in Australia so far. The tour was well organised, relaxed yet efficient and didn’t feel rushed. Adrian was a most genuine tour guide and I couldn’t recommend him more.

Just got back from this tour (Aug 10-12)....it was a blast! We enjoyed an action-packed, information-filled time in beautiful Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks with our incredible, highly-skilled driver and tour guide, Leigh. Leigh drove the bus, cooked our food, made our coffee and helped us clamber difficult rocks at Jim Jim Falls (and that's just the start). Every person in our group made it to Jim Jim Falls and back which truly is a credit to Leigh (it is not an easy hike). He even carried my bag at the pointy end! His knowledge about Indigenous Rock Art, local flora and fauna and generally a heck of a lot of Oz history, is next level. We all enjoyed hearing about his snake collection!! Leigh is one of those people you meet who is a real Aussie personality in the best possible way (I'm so glad they still exist) and was definitely born to be a tour guide!! GREAT STUFF!!!

We had an exceptional action packed 3 day tour with our wonderful, extremely knowledgable guide Aaron. His happy friendly demeanour and indigenous knowledge was fantastic. The tour to Kakadu and Litchfield National parks was more than we had expected with visits to the most amazing indigenous cultural sites. Aaron’s knowledge provided the background information needed to get the most out of those visits. We didn’t want the tour to end. We certainly can recommend this fantastic tour.
