Visit Asmara, the city called as “Piccola Roma” (Little Rome) and observe its most shining collection of Art Deco (A style of design, marked by stylized forms and geometric designs, which was popular in the 1920s and 1930s) architectural wonders portrayed in many of its buildings.
Visitors would visit the Italian and Common Wealth war cemeteries. Keren is well known for the fiercest battles that went on between the Common wealth and the Italian forces in 1941. The fall of Keren in the hands of the Common Wealth advancing army signaled the end of Italian occupation in Eritrea.

Hi Yonatan It was an excellent trip made more memorable by Angesom ( tour operator) and Niko our lovely guide. I visited the place with my old son. Eriterian people peaceful, loving and caring and no bad experience Both Angesom and Niko did their best to make our experience the best... inspite of no internet. Nice food resturants, local experiences. They treated us like family Visiting the Tank museum was like a different experience. They know well about the places and explained everything well too. We visited your Angesom house last lady for dinner. They treated us like family with plenty of traditional food items and my favourite items. Asmara is at a high altitude and has excellent weather on our visit. I strongly recommend Adulis travels as they organised everything as i wish and made me love their country and people, a first class service.

Visiting the Capital is History that highlights what we have built and that is still in perfect condition. Not for nothing is it a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Massawa and its Red Sea, the Dahlak Islands, the old town, the 1st Mosque in the world. Keren is amazing. The Monday market on the dry river, the animal trade, the heroes cemetery, the Cathedral, the Mosque, the shops............... and many nice people.

We would like to share our unforgettable experience with our guide Selohom, who accompanied us on our journey through Eritrea. Selohom was exceptional in every way – her professionalism, deep knowledge of the country’s history, culture, and current affairs, combined with her kindness and warm personality, made our trip a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thanks to her, we not only visited the most famous landmarks but also discovered lesser-known, authentic places that were truly enriching. One of Selohom’s greatest strengths was her ability to handle challenging situations. In our group, we had one participant who was particularly demanding and difficult to manage. However, Selohom demonstrated incredible patience, empathy, and outstanding communication skills, which allowed her to diffuse tense moments and ensure that the entire group felt comfortable and respected. Her problem-solving abilities and her understanding approach were truly inspiring. Selohom also did an excellent job of tailoring the itinerary to our needs and ensuring that everything ran seamlessly. Every detail was perfectly organized, allowing us to fully enjoy the trip without worrying about logistics. Additionally, she had a unique talent for storytelling, bringing Eritrea’s rich culture and history to life in a way we will never forget. Thanks to Selohom, our journey to Eritrea was not only trouble-free but also deeply enriching and filled with unforgettable moments. If you are looking for a guide who is not only an expert in her field but also a wonderful person who genuinely cares about her clients, Selohom is the perfect choice. We wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone planning a visit to this amazing country!

I'd always been fascinated with this country and wanted to go; however, had always been turned off by the seemingly complicated visa process and could never find a tour that suited my dates. Fortunately, I was suggested Adulis Travel by some previously satisfied customers. I signed up for the 4 days / 3 nights Explore Eritrea 3 Major Cities tour. I messaged Yonatan and voila -in just a couple of weeks he sent a letter of invitation that allowed me to pick up a visa on arrival. The tour was short but sweet. The guide Romel took me all around Asmara the first day, we then drove all of the way to Massawa the next, and to the Keren camel market on the third. Everything went smoothly and it was for a much more reasonable price than quoted elsewhere. Highly recommended local agency in Eritrea!

It was a very long and painful process to get the VOA, being told many times my visa had been issued only to find out it was issued the day before I was due to travel meaning flights were then extortionate. Once in Eritrea, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We had Sami (a youngster) and Robel (experienced) who were both lovely, but Romel was on the phone a lot sorting out other travellers. So he seemed to be running things in country. Overall Eritrea was beautiful and we had a great time but three days was enough for us.

In addition to the great Asmara with its Italian cultural treasures, the Turkish-Arab Massawa is also fascinating, which is unfortunately very badly destroyed. Other highlights include the narrow gauge railway from Asmara to Massawa (only about 15 km navigable) and Keren with its cattle market.

Since this was my first trip to Eritrea, I turned to Adulis Travel. It was very helpful to me to explain what I didn't know in advance via email. It was my first trip to Africa, but I was comfortable. A mistake meant Kellen was sent on a day trip, but he could almost go where he wanted to go. One of the most amazing things was that we could stop at places like Dogali and Mai Atal on the way from Asmara to Massawa. I couldn't even find the detailed location on the map, so it was really nice to go. Massawa is also great for not only sightseeing in the old town and museums, but also for swimming on the beach. After the three-day tour, he asked for additional tours and visited railway yards and tunnels. It was unfortunate that the railway did not run, but it was an emotional experience because I was able to ride on an active train. I want to use it again when I travel to Eritrea again.
