Although my point of contact was the AyiaNapa shop we used the main shop and their boats to reach the wrecks . From owner/skipper Chris to all the staff Sam, Kevin and Paul they made all the trips very enjoyable and a pleasure to dive with. I once again cannot find fault with their service so if in Larnaca don’t hesitate to contact alpha divers you won’t be dissapointed

Alpha divers are hands down THE best dive centre we have dived with. Having dived in a number of places around the world, I can honestly say, Chris and his team are head and shoulders above other places. Here are some of the reasons 1) safety and professionalism. Should be a given, right? But the level of care and attention was outstanding and that is vital when you’re in the darkest depths of the Zenobia at 30 metres. Small groups of 2-4 divers only with top class instructors and dive masters to keep you safe. The dives themselves, were amazing and my thanks to Paul, for taking me on what will always rank as one of my top dives ever. 2) high quality hire equipment. We had our own gear but the hire gear was such that I would be totally comfortable leaving my gear at home and using theirs. Quality regs and wings as standard (how refreshing not to get a jacket style bcd 3) the team - honestly, the level of service and genuine friendliness of the team absolutely blew me away. They were amazing and went above and beyond any other level of service I’ve experienced on dives. Not only was it great on every dive, they also took our personal dive gear every night and washed and dried it all. That’s never happened before as the expectation in every other place that I’ve been to is that you look after your own gear. The team were awesome and I’d definitely come back again, just because of them. In short (you probably need to be of a certain age to get this)- if Carlsberg made dive centres, they would be called Alpha Divers!

We had an amazing experience with Alpha Divers. Chris and team are an extremely knowledgeable and professional bunch, and ensured we stayed safe while also giving us unique experiences during our wreck dives. We finished the day with lots of new memories, while also feeling more confident and eager for wreck dives in future. Thank you Chris and team for a fantastic experience!

The only reason I give this 5 stars is because there isn't an option for 6. The Zenobia and Elpida are great sites with something for everyone, Open Water and Divemaster alike. And as before, this time again I went with Alpha Divers, Chris and Paul. True pros, with the best teams, plans gear and boats. An absolute pleasure and a day well spent. Warmly recommended

We just finished 12 days of diving and 15 dives with the Alpha Divers team over Easter - put simply: they are the best we have dived with anywhere in the world and we would recommend them to anyone regardless of skill level. As experienced divers wanting to do some speciality courses a summary of our experience as follows: - Planning & Preparation - Chris was fast to respond to our initial email approach, communication was quick, clear and efficient by both email and phone call; - Equipment - “don’t bring your gear ours will blow you away” all their kit is top quality Xdeep / Mares etc and they have a wide range of equipment for sale in stock; - Boats - the team are rightly proud of their boats, the diver lift is great and the new catamaran looks awesome; - Safety - a clear focus in all they do and expect comprehensive briefings before each dive and for each diver group; - Dive team - Chris, Paul, Julian and Bina were all great to dive with and would thoroughly recommend. We also met the team from their new Ayia Napa store; - Instruction - Paul and Julian - can only say thank you (again) for an amazing experience and the chance to improve our skills and play with some cool toys; - Toys - the Suex DPV on the Zenobia that’s definitely one off the bucket list ! Finally the diving…. the Zenobia, with 45m viz was absolutely amazing. The wreck is a short ride from the marina - we did 12x dives on her and 3x on Elpida + Lamboussa II and still much more to see. The setup for shore diving was efficient and MUSAN is good fun. Chris - you have built something really special here as a dive centre. Your service oriented approach of “the answers yes - what’s the question?” was most appreciated , particularly as we were juggling diving and other commitments. Paul - we really enjoyed doing the deep + wreck + DPV speciality courses. We feel we come away better divers and enjoyed the time above and below the water on the wrecks with you. Already planning to come back….

Be careful when relying on high reviews for this company. They have two locations, but are essentially one operation. The original one, which has been around for a long time, has a rating of 4.3 stars out of 5. Their new location is one year old, and has just a few reviews at this point, which are higher but do not reflect the track record for the integrated operation. There are other review scores that combine both operations. On the 12th of April, we touched down in Cyprus to celebrate my birthday. A couple of days later, we found ourselves at the doorstep of the island's top-rated dive shop, according to the reviews, at least. We opted for their exclusive boat excursion to a well-regarded wreck, with two dives apiece for my daughter and myself. The booking process, however, was a touch peculiar. The manager attending to us, without so much as a whisper about their terms and conditions, inquired whether we'd be settling the deposit or the full amount. Trusting in those lauded island appraisals, we were quite unprepared for the rather unpleasant surprise that awaited. Full of anticipation, and perhaps a tad naively as eager tourists often are, we agreed to pay the total sum there and then. Whereupon, he proceeded to multiply the €150 fee on his calculator by two, which already struck me as rather odd, given that most can manage the sum of fifteen and fifteen. He then went on to inform us that the local Value Added Tax, at 19%, would be added. Suddenly, the total had ballooned to €357 from the initial €300, a practice not exactly commonplace in Europe, but we reasoned that 5 stars might have their price. We scheduled the start for Wednesday, as my daughter, flying back at the weekend, shall get as much rest before that as passible. The very next day, Tuesday, I awoke with a rather nasty bout of back pain – something entirely unexpected, but as they say, there's a first time for everything. Upon contacting the same employee, he did express a degree of understanding and empathy, wishing me a swift recovery, though once again, not a peep about any terms, conditions & Co. Wednesday arrived, and my eighteen-year-old daughter, accompanied by my husband, went off for her dives (clearly, I was in no fit state to be wobbling about on a boat with my back). She enjoyed it immensely, as always. However while our daughter has advanced course open water qualifications, the guide seemed inexperienced and this limited what she could do on the dive. He also cut the dives short. On their return, my husband inquired about the situation regarding my missed dive. The employee stated that, according to their terms and conditions, the matter was closed, and there was nothing further to discuss. There would be no refund. Quite taken aback, my husband insisted on speaking with the manager. The British proprietor was amenable to a discussion and promptly offered my husband a proposition: my daughter could undertake three shore dives the following day with another group of tourists, with the understanding that we would, of course, pay extra for the third dive to make it worthwhile for his operation! Back at our accommodation, we swiftly considered this offer. Five dives for an eighteen-year-old within two days, just before her flight home, is hardly everyone's cup of tea. Moreover, what about me? By this time, my back was already improving, and we had a solution in mind. Relieved, I spoke with the employee, who said he would get back to me. Roughly an hour later, the owner rang my husband, demanding to speak with me. Over speakerphone, I greeted him, and he inquired as to my name, stating that I likely wouldn't understand – HIS terms and conditions were perfectly clear! He went on to say that it was only due to my husband's good nature and my daughter's charm and enthusiasm that he had made us the exclusive offer for the following day. I attempted to explain that we had discussed his proposal and it wasn't a viable option for us, and that I myself could flexibly reschedule for the following week. At this point, he interrupted me for the first time, reiterating his terms and conditions and asserting that he was under no further obligation, despite his supposed generosity. At this stage he also suggested we might need to pay extra for my husband accompanying our daughter. I tried to convey that his suggestion of three, or indeed five, dives within two days for our daughter was simply not feasible, and that I was now aware I would be fit again in a few days. "No-no-no, you don't understand!" he interjected for the third time, in a tone reminiscent of bygone imperial eras. "I have to register the dive operation with the police a week in advance (odd, considering we only booked two days prior!) and I have to prepare a boat, and that costs extra..." I just managed to interject that I surely wouldn't be the only person wanting to dive the following week and that I could simply join another group. But once again, I was peremptorily cut off, and it was back to his precious terms and conditions. I told him that I felt he was attempting to hide behind his terms and conditions rather than seeking a reasonable resolution, only to be interrupted yet again. He then became indignant that I "dared to accuse him of such a thing," despite it being the plain truth, as specifically, my husband wasn't charged extra for the escort service. At that point, I politely thanked him and pointed out that the conversation was rather pointless if I wasn't even permitted to finish a sentence. And with that, I brought the call to a civil close. In summary he was rude and condescending and chose to hide behind the 7 day terms and conditions for a short-term booking. Summary – Based on our Personal Experience, Perception, and Opinion: In our experience, if everything proceeds without a hitch, you do receive what you booked, albeit at a higher cost than competitors due to the last-minute addition of tax. Every business owner is, of course, entitled to their own management style. However, even if one adopts an authoritarian approach with their staff, it's worth considering whether a more customer-oriented and accommodating manner might be more appropriate than simply focusing on the ringing till. Furthermore, one might consider reviewing their own terms and conditions, which in this instance state: "Please be advised that cancellation of booked dives in less than a full 7 day period are non-refundable, but if a cancellation is unavoidable the management have the discretion to give a credit where they deem appropriate for future use." In our case, we were essentially forced to cancel. And the management was by no means willing to negotiate. The only thing they could "think of" was to "coincidentally" extract more money from our pockets. The terms and conditions do not align with reality. The owner told us one is supposedly required to register dives with the police a week in advance and cancel a week prior if necessary. We actually booked two days in advance, as I assume is frequently the case with tourists who have just arrived, so that for one-time customers on vacation the terms and conditions are simply a trap. The terms and conditions appear to be a trap. An invoice is only provided upon request. If our experience can prevent even one person from wasting their precious holiday time, energy, and hopes, thus saving them from disappointment and financial detriment, then the time invested in this feedback will have been worthwhile.

Without a doubt the best school on the island. Although I didn't compare it to others, I can still confidently say this. Initially, I was a bit nervous to go down 30 meters and inside a wreck, and without the trust in the team, I might have dropped out at some point. However, while I was learning, I always felt safe because of my instructor. If you're looking for a school that ensures 100% safety, has super friendly people, and offers honest pricing, then join this school!
