  The cruise experience was well beyond our expectations. The combination of great people both on board and within our tour group, a truly unique guide for the visits, and a tranquil, picturesque journey along the Nile made the entire experience an undeniable success. As for the boat, we were assigned the Nile Shams. It is worth keeping in mind that the boat system works very much like a lottery: when you book the experience, you only discover which boat you will be on almost at the last moment. In our case, we were particularly lucky; the boat had recently been renovated, the food was far better than expected, and the staff was extremely kind and attentive. That being said, regardless of the boat you end up on, you will always find good company and, more importantly, be in very good hands with Ahmed. If you are not looking for a dry, academic guide but for someone who will make you feel and truly live the history of Egypt, then Ahmed is the guide for you! With him, you will sometimes feel like an Egyptian god, sometimes like a pharaoh, and sometimes like a simple peasant discovering for the first time the overwhelming magnitude of the temples. With years of experience, Ahmed not only knows how to read his audience and adapt both the tour and his explanations to your expectations, but also to expectations you did not even know you had. Beyond historical knowledge, he has a remarkable understanding of local life: he seems to know everyone, from site workers to locals, which makes you feel, if only for a moment, part of Egypt’s daily rhythm rather than a passing tourist. With Ahmed, travel, visits, and logistics are entirely worry-free. Transportation is booked in advance and runs on time; there are no unpleasant surprises or last-minute cancellations. Thanks to his wide smile and well-established reputation, local vendors were far too busy joking with him or greeting him as a friend to engage in the usual insistent sales pitches, allowing us to enjoy each visit in peace and comfort. Unlike too many guides or local intermediaries, Ahmed never acts out of personal interest or greed. His sole motivation is to ensure that you experience Egypt, or rather Kemet, in the most genuine way possible. He wants you to return home not only with your eyes filled with wonders, but with your mind full of stories and your heart subtly changed. If you leave Egypt able to speak both about History with a capital “H” and about the small, funny, human stories that make your family and friends want to visit Kemet themselves, then, in Ahmed’s eyes, the mission is accomplished. We were truly lucky to meet him and are deeply grateful for his attention, patience, and uplifting spirit. All the best to him!

  Ahmed was an amazing guide — passionate, fun, and incredibly thoughtful. He paid attention to every detail to make sure we were comfortable, and his love for history really showed throughout the tour. When any issues came up, he handled them quickly and professionally, which was truly impressive. The itinerary was perfect, and I highly recommend Ahmed to anyone looking for a guide who genuinely cares.

  We had such a great 4 day trip and tour. The boat was very very nice with super staff. Food buffet was good. Food staff were super nice. The absolute best part of the adventure was Ahmed our tour guide. He was amazingly good and attentive and knowledgeable about Aswan where he lives and Luxor where some of his family lives. Just fabulous 4 days. One night in Luxor we left the boat and walked along the port area down to the Luxor Museum and back. We returned a few hours later to the boat and found Ahmed waiting for us as if he were our parent waiting for his kids to come home for the night. Such a great host. And such a great trip

  This trip completely changed our ideas about Egypt. Mainly thanks to our guide Ahmed, who became the link between history and us. He breathed life into the walls, the hielogriffs, the tombs. Through his mouth came stories and words that transported us back to those times. Thanks to him, it all came to life, he transported us back in time and took an extraordinary journey with us. Until now, we also remember his energy and smile, which attracted people. It was a great honour for us. The cruise itself also surprised us. The yacht was very clean, the food delicious and the level of service top notch. This cruise was the perfect combination of cultural immersion and active exploration.
