You will be picked up from your hotel at 8:00am and driven alongside the Great Rift Valley to the iconic Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. Your day ends at a lodge/tented camp, where you will retreat for your overnight stay. Tarangire is a breathtaking and fascinating wildlife destination—you will only realize how beautiful the park is once you arrive. With big elephant herds (bigger than anywhere else in Tanzania's northern parks), hundreds of baobab trees, and thousands of wildebeests and zebras, Tarangire is truly magnificent.

After breakfast, you will start your journey through the Great Rift Valley towards Serengeti National Park. As you approach the park you will be amazed by the endless plains and the high concentration of wildlife. The Serengeti also has the highest number of big cats in Africa and features the world’s largest migration of wildebeest and zebra. With some time here, you can witness predators hunting impalas, gazelles, hartebeest, elands, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, and—on very few occasions—giraffes. Hyenas and vultures are also found en mass here. Last but not least, 480 species of birds call this place home.

This is your first full day in the central Serengeti. We recommend that you wake up early in the morning so you can watch the wonderful sunrise. You will then have a full-day game drive in the park (with lunch), before returning for your overnight at the lodge. The Serengeti hosts the world’s largest migration of wildebeest and zebra. With some time here, you can witness predators hunting impalas, gazelles, hartebeest, elands, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, and—on very few occasions—giraffes. Ngorongoro Conservation Area
We suggest a very early wake-up and breakfast today before departing for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will go on a short game drive until midday, at which time you’ll eat a hot lunch at the Ngoitoktok public picnic site. After lunch, continue with your game drive before exiting the crater back to Arusha for your departure home. Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest and most famous caldera. It is 19km in diameter and 260km in circumference. It features one of the largest concentrations of wildlife in the world due to the availability of water and food almost year-round. The crater has a river, several swamps, a soda lake with a great concentration of flamingos, a forest, and open plains. The Gorgor and Mwanduzi swamps are home to buffalos, hippos, and the oldest male elephants (they have the longest tusks ever) all year. This is also one of few places in the world with a high population density of black rhinos.

5.00Our safari with Glimpse of Tanzania was an absolute dream, and it's all thanks to their exceptional team. We had the most amazing trip, and it was completely seamless from start to finish. We felt so well taken care of the entire time. But what we enjoyed most was the genuine connection and friendship we created with our hosts Olena, Benn, and Kombo. Their expertise and dedication was evident every single day. Olena and Benn’s planning and attention to details made the trip truly a once-in-a-lifetime dream vacation. They handled every single detail flawlessly, and all we had to do was show up and enjoy the beautiful scenery and incredible atmosphere. Kombo was a phenomenal guide. Not only did he know the land like the back of his hand, but he also seemed to have a sixth sense for spotting wildlife. We saw the "Big Five" and so much more, including a rare leopard in a tree sighting and the great migration! Our hot air balloon ride over the Northern Serengeti was truly magical. Their passion for the animals, attentiveness and genuine care made all the difference! Our accomodations were comfortable and beautiful. We felt very safe. We highly recommend booking with them 1000%—they turn a trip into a genuine adventure!

5.00Exploring Ngorongoro Crater with Glimpse of Tanzania Safaris was beyond incredible. From the moment we entered the crater, we were surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and wildlife; lions, elephants, rhinos, you name it. What really made it special was our guide from Glimpse of Tanzania. He was professional, super knowledgeable, and made the whole experience smooth and unforgettable. Everything was perfectly organized, from the game drive to the scenic picnic by the hippo pool. Highly recommend Glimpse of Tanzania Safaris for anyone wanting a magical safari experience!

5.00Searching for a tour guide in Tanzania can be overwhelming due to the quantity of guides. Glimpse of Tanzania is a safe option that will leave you 100% satisfied. Their service was excellent and on time. Budget friendly and the attention to details and organization of the staff is super comforting. 10/10 experience from the safari in Arusha to the tour in Zanzibar they made the trip feel super safe and fun!

5.00As a travel agent Ben, Olena and our Safari guides Kombo and Hussein made the most memorable family vacation. We learned so much about each park and their animals, trees and history. We always felt safe and with their insight found everything we were hoping to see. This trip was truly priceless!

The hosts were friendly and fun. The accommodations were wonderful and the food was delicious. It has been an unforgettable experience.

5.00We have literally just returned from the best safari experience we have had to date. We have previously experienced a number of safaris in Tanzania, Kenya, Chad and C.African Republic and the service provided by Glimpse of Tanzania has simply been amazing. The safari was billed as the ‘Wildebeest Migration Safari’ and it exceeded our expectations. The standards of organisation provided by Benn and the value for money were highly satisfactory. The choice of hotels* and tented safari camps were just perfect - did Benn read our minds?? (* Arusha, Karatu and Zanzibar beach) The core of our comments are about the five-day safari experience itself. Our guide HUSSEIN was exceptional - simply because he went above and beyond what we have experienced before. With a quiet friendly manner and deep knowledge of the wildlife of Tanzania, Hussein gave us a deep personal insight into the wildlife of Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Lake Manyara in the varied ecosystems of each national park and game reserve. His stamina was amazing and he seemed to use a ‘sixth sense’ to seek out every example of the ‘big five’ and much more, in his local knowledge in a wilderness of thorn scrub, endless grassland and forested areas. Not only were we able to see individual animals, but multiples each day - six cheetahs, three black rhinos, large herds of elephants and of course being surrounded by the thousands of wildebeest and zebras in the migration. (The migration is not as portrayed on TV - it takes real skill in finding where the masses are moving each day.) We quickly became a ‘team’ in spotting animals reliably with eagle-eyes from minimal visual clues at a distance. It was all truly memorable and we now need to begin downloading the over 3,000 frames and videos! ( Please note: in one particular helpful facility, GoT provided an additional step for getting in and out of our vehicle - a nice personalised touch which was much appreciated.) All in all, for anyone considering a first-time safari, or a returning devotee, we would recommend Glimpse of Tanzania and this safari experience unreservedly anytime to anyone !!

5.00Amazing Tour, well planned by a super responsive organizer. Our Safari-Jeep was in a perfect condition, equiped with loads of water, power plugs and enough space to fit for 6 people + luggage. The tour was operated by Hassan, who was a hell of guide! Besides beeing extremly friendly he knows where to go to see all the BIG 5 - which took us only 3 days to complete. And even if we were stuck to the mud or had a puncture he quickly knows how to handle the situation and got us back safe & sound. Hassan (our driver and guide) was not only super knowledgeable and passionate about the nature and animals, but also very friendly/polite and a safe driver. If you think about booking your safari with Glimpse of Tanzania, don't hesitate to ask for Hassan to be your tour guide to get the most out of your experience! Highly recommended!
