Embark on a magical dog sledding journey under the Aurora Borealis in Alta, complete with expert guidance, a personal husky team, and the chance to witness the northern lights. Begin your journey in Alta, where a comfortable minibus awaits to transport you to the picturesque Gargia. Upon arrival, you’ll be provided with warm clothing to keep you cozy during this unforgettable experience. Our experienced guides will greet you and provide thorough training on dog sledding. Once you’re ready, you’ll have your own team of huskies. If there are two guests, you’ll take turns driving halfway along the route. The huskies will lead you from the pine forest near the mountain lodge up to the stunning Finnmarksvidda plateau, with its vast open landscapes. Feel the synergy between our enthusiastic huskies and yourselves, and embrace the crisp Arctic winter with the Northern Lights dancing above in the sky. After approximately 60 minutes outdoors, retreat to the historic Gargia mountain lodge. Here you can warm up with hot coffee and tea. Our guides will share insights about dog sledding and local history. We and our furry companions warmly welcome you to this unforgettable adventure!

It was a nice experience. Unfortunately, the weather was bad, and tour appeared short. Would also have liked to learn some interesting facts about the dogs and how they are trained etc. But overall a worth-while experience.

This was one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had. The staff were lovely, and ensured you were well equipped for the experience. The surroundings were breath taking, a truly fantastic evening. It was surreal being there with the dogs and beautiful nature, to come back to the lodge and be welcomed with a log fire and warm drinks. We highly recommend this experience, and would definitely do it again. Thank you!

I had an amazing trip to Alta thanks to Aeventyr. I stayed in the Canyon Hotell in Alta. Nice room and breakfast, great staff and location. I did four activities through Aeventyr- snowshoeing, dog sledding, whale watching rib boat, and snowmobiling. All four were absolutely epic with amazing guides who made sure you were able to make the most of it. The absolute delight was Rose- I somehow ended up as the only person booked on a snowshoeing tour and Rose made it so much fun and made sure I loved every second of it. I also had her on the snowmobiling tour. Her energy and enthusiasm and excitement for the tourists’ experience is just fantastic- thank you Rose and thank you Aeventyr for making a bucket list trip epic!

An amazing way to experience the northern lights for the first time ever! The dogs are all very friendly and motivated, it’s a great way to spend an evening and a great adventure into the Finnmark region outside of Alta

The transfer driver was very friendly, and the 30 minute ride to the dog sledding site was smooth and comfortable. Upon arrival, the guide greeted us warmly and provided winter gear along with clear instructions. We were lucky enough to have the northern lights appear right from the start. The sledding itself was a lot of fun, taking us through woods and across open fields. Afterward, we had the chance to meet all the dogs, and they were incredibly sweet. Learning about their training and daily routines was interesting and added a special touch to the tour. We ended the evening back at the lodge with a warm drink before the drive back to town. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and memorable experience and I highly recommend it.

We were lucky to take a clear night at Gargia with cold temperatures and perfect polar lights. The Musher was very friendly and the musher told us all things which were important to know.

We had a great time. Linda is very kind and does this with all her heart. Transporter Rose is great and even dropped us off at our Airbnb. It is fantastic to slay for yourself. We did not get to see the northern ligth, but this was only a minor detail. Great experience!
