On this 5 Day Luxury Safari, allows us experience the highlights of the Northern Safari Circuit. We experience breathtaking wildlife in the midst of diverse landscapes; monkeys in the forest, lions in the trees, elephants among the acacias and a huge variety of animals inside a collapsed volcano. We also visit The Serengeti National Park, home to some 3 million animals. These spectacular grass plains offer the best opportunity of viewing cheetah, leopard, and lion, in the true wild.

Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your safari guide will collect you from your accommodation and drive you to Tarangire National Park (approximately 2 hours). Tarangire is best known for its elephant families, savannah, iconic baobab trees, seasonal swamps and the life-giving Tarangire River. Animals gather at the river and giraffe, bushbuck and hartebeest are often seen. The Park is also home to buffalo, zebra and wildebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators such as lions and leopards. From the open roof of the vehicle you will be able to absorb the landscape and watch the wildlife. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, which includes a delicious lunch, coffee and soft drinks. After a full day in the park, you will drive to your accommodation, where you will be able to relax, enjoy dinner and spend the night.

Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, you will head towards the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest volcanic caldera. It is almost 20km wide, approximately 600 m deep and is known for its large variety of wildlife. In addition to the Big Five, the various springs attract animals such as wildebeest, gazelles, reedbucks and more than 500 bird species. After lunch, you will head towards the Serengeti. The Serengeti National Park is the largest park in Tanzania with diverse landscapes and habitats, such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah and mountains.

Serengeti National Park
You will enjoy another early breakfast and set off on your game drive at about 6:30 a.m., spending 6-7 hours exploring this incredible Park. The Serengeti is the habitat for an abundance of wildlife, such as impala, buffalo, crocodiles and hippos, but is more well-known for its great migrating herds of zebras and wildebeest. The animals’ trek is determined by the rainfall and varies from year to year. Apart from the migrating herds, you may see predators, such as leopards, cheetahs and lions. At roughly 2:00 p.m. you will head back towards Karatu, arriving in time for dinner.

Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to your final destination on this epic safari - Lake Manyara National Park. This is a relatively small but diverse park, 120km west of Arusha. The park’s namesake is a shallow, salt lake. It covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons and is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species. On your exploration of the park you will see monkeys, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant and with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its diverse landscapes; not only open grassy plains, but also primate-filled woodlands and baobab dotted cliffs. After lunch, you will head back to Arusha.

5.00We did a 5 day safari tour with our tour guide Khalifa. One of the best experiences ever! Not only did Khalifa work hard to show us the big 5 over those days (and many many other animals!), he is extremely knowledgeable about the animals, widelife and Tanzania's history which made this experience very well rounded. A very wholesome experience, amazing views and incredible wildlife. Lion King also accommodated us very well and worked hard to ensure the agenda worked with everything we wanted to do and see, including the hot air balloon ride. An experience I will carry with me for a long time, made even better by our very amazing tour guide! If you get the chance to select a tour guide I highly recommend Khalifa, he will add that something special to your Safari!

5.00The Safari tour with Lion King was an amazing experience! On the trip we saw The Big 5, cheetah, hippos, giraffe, zebra, the wildebeest migration, gazelles, warthog and many many more. The experience really was made by our Safari guide Khalifa. He was extremely knowledgeable about the animals, landscape, ecology, Masai history/lifestyle and Tanzanian culture. Not only was he very competent, but he also made us laugh everyday and made the whole trip a truly unforgettable one. I would highly recommend this Safari for December and the hot air ballon ride is a great add on. And if you do have the chance to take this trip, make sure you do it with Khalifa!

5.00We had such an incredible safari experience seeing all the big 5 and many more. The highlight was definitely seeing the leopard and pride of lions. Our driver Khalifa was integral to that experience. He was super knowledgeable and made the experience unique. I can’t recommend him as a guide enough. Thank you Lion King Adventures and Khalifa for a great safari experience

5.00Lion King was excellent. From the start to finish, the planning, communication and updates were brilliant. We saw so many animals, some amazing landscapes and some great sights. As for our AMAZING driver guide, Khalifa, I cannot thank him enough for making our experience what it was. Khalifa was an unbelievable guide - very knowledgeable on all the animals, the landscape, Tanzania and its history and the areas we visited during the safari tour. Khalifa was always very timely, friendly, funny and very accommodating. If you can choose your guide, I would recommend Khalifa hugely! As for the places you stay, they were all amazing, our highlight was staying in the serengeti and hearing the lions roaring! Thank you Lion King but a special thank you to Khalifa, who made the experience so special.

5.00My sister and I had a wonderful experience with Lion King Adventures. Our guide Joseph was kind, friendly, and professional during our 5 day visit to some of Tanzania’s national parks. No surprises on pricing or itinerary. Vehicle was excellent condition. Mid-range tented lodges were all totally fine; great views. Overall would certainly recommend booking with Lion King - and Joseph! - again.

5.00We’ve just returned from an unforgettable 5-day safari through Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara, and the experience was absolutely exceptional. We were lucky enough to see the Big Five, including some truly magical sightings such as a cheetah with her cub and even a leopard with her cubs — moments we will never forget. We stayed at Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge and Nyota Luxury Camp, and both were fantastic. At Nyota, the rooms were a solid 10/10, beautifully set in the heart of nature. One night, a group of buffalos came right up to our tent to graze — such a thrilling and unique experience. The staff at Nyota were incredibly kind, welcoming and always willing to help with anything we needed; they genuinely made us feel at home. We booked our safari with Lion King Adventures, and we cannot recommend them highly enough. Our guide, Yusuph, was exceptional — one of those rare people who go far beyond what is expected. He made sure we didn’t miss a single animal, always knowing exactly where to go and reading the landscape like nobody else. He even took us to the best souvenir shops and arranged a visit to an orphanage so we could donate the items we had brought from Spain. His dedication, kindness and passion for wildlife truly made the trip special. And if Yusuph happens to be busy, we also met his brother — another outstanding guide — during a picnic in the Ngorongoro Crater. It’s clear that guiding runs in the family! Overall, this safari was one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had, and we wholeheartedly recommend Lion King Adventures and the incredible team behind it.

5.00Although we prepared ourselves for this Safari, it exceeded our expectations! Our guide Jafari was professional, knowledgeable and very accommodating. He worked very hard to make our trip memorable, he ensured we saw all the animals and shared his extensive knowledge of the areas and animals. Lion King choose excellent accommodations where all the staff very attentive, pleasant and welcoming. The only area for improvement was more variety in the food, although it was tasty different options would have been welcomed. Overall, great tour, guide and accommodations. We will recommend Lion King, this tour and ask for Jafari!

5.00We surely recommend safari guide Leonard. His patience, experience and professional knowledge about animals were incredible. We have spent 4 day safari suited for our needs. Leonard was always open for every change in the plan. Our game drives last whole day from early morning till the last moment when we can stay in National Parks. We decided to take a flight from Zanzibar directly to Serengeti which was incredible experience from start to end. We spent 2 days in Serengeti looking for Great Migration. Then we drove to Ngorongoro for one day trip and end in Tarangire. We have seen whole Big Five. Everyday we have delicious meals and two surprises through the trip when we eat a lunch surrounded by wildest nature in the world. We will always remember best moments like watching lions walking through Serengeti in the sunrise lights, sleeping in the luxury camp surrounded by sounds of nature and wild animals, staying inside the big heard of tousands of Wildbeest and Zebras. From the beginning we plan everything directly with Lion King Adventures by ourselves.

5.00Our safari experience with Lion King Adventures was amazing, in great part thanks to our two guides Richard and Khalida and our two LandCruisers Kion and Pumba! The cars were always spotless and full of water and other drinks (sodas, beers and wine). Richard and Khalifa were very nice and full of knowledge about our tour, the animals and we had great chats about Tanzania overall, their way of life… which was very enriching. We toured through Mto wa Mbu and Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti and atayed at Motto Cottages and Nyota Luxury Camp. We were able to see all of the big 5 and so much more, how wonderful it is to see these incredible animals in their natural habitat!
