Our Guide will meet you at your Hotel (recommended: Home Saint Jean) at 7:00 am and walk for ten minutes to Karongi Bus park take the bus to Rubengera center (included in the package) and start your adventure on Congo Nile Trail heading to Bumba base camp. This hike will take about 5 hours. On the trail you will be enjoying agricultural activities, beautiful landscapes and scenery around Lake Kivu.

After breakfast at 7:00 a.m, you will walk for about 9 hours to Kinunu. On this hiking, you will continue enjoying the beauty of Rwanda through its rolling hills while taking pictures on your adventure of the Congo Nile Trail. You will have your packed lunch during the route and afterwards you will continue enjoying the hike to Kinunu base Camp.

At 07:00a.m after breakfast you resume your hike heading to Bumba Base Camp. This hike will take about 6 hours and this hike will be easier compared to the previous one even though you will be enjoying crossing the small river by your foot. Along the trail you will enjoy the beautiful rolling hills in this area while enjoying the islands of lake Kivu and have your en-route packed lunch. On your arrival to Bumba Base Camp, you will check-in and relax while waiting to enjoy your dinner.

Les Chutes de Ndaba

After a morning breakfast by 07:00a.m you will continue your hike heading to Rubengera and proceed to Karongi (Optional), on this day you will hike through huge plantations of bananas, this tour will take about 5hours and on your arrival at Karongi you will check in at Home St Jean, have your lunch and recover from your trip. On your way, you will have a stop-over at Ndaba Waterfalls It is a 100m-high waterfall. You will meet locals, especially kids who will tell you the legend of Ndaba's honey and sing to you in exchange. It is a beautiful spot to stop for.

After breakfast at 08:00 am, you will take a public bus from Kibuye to either Gisenyi or Kigali town (around 10a.m.) of (+-5 euro pp – not included in the package). There you can take a bus to either Gisenyi or Kigali. The guide will give instructions the night before of the process to get there and arrange a moto taxi to bus if required. On your way, you may meet Primates like Chimpanzees, monkeys and various birds species.
