Juan Ponce de Leon Home (Casa de Juan Ponce de Leon)
An unforgettable historical experience, the house of Juan ponce de Leon is the very beginning of the man that would go on to conquer Puerto Rico, Discover Florida and find the fountain of youth. Here in the Dominican Republic, we get to experience his first charge as a commander in this small, relatively unknown museum.
Our second stop is a big beautiful cave full of life, history and mysteries. we bring flashlights to hunt for Tiano Petroglyphs carved into the rock, as well as animals such as giant spiders, small bats and predatory owls!

5.00Absolutely amazing time! Alex and the twins were incredible guides. If you’re looking for real cultural immersion with a side of adventure, this is it. Our day started with some history, transitioned to adventure and wrapped up hanging with locals and throughout the day we were spoiled with amazing fruit and other foods straight from the source.

5.00If you are looking for an all-in-one day trip, this is the choice for you! Alex and his assistant twin tour guides gave us an amazing experience. Alex's knowledge and connection to the community is evident in his interactions with the locals, and he truly has put together the best of the best for a day trip! Everyone was so patient, answered all of our questions, and gave us a truly unique experience. It was great to experience the Dominican culture through the eyes of the locals. I highly recommend.

5.00This trip was terrific. We did so many different things throughout the day but my favorite was hiking to the cenote and swimming there. It was so refreshing and beautiful. Alex was so knowledgeable and his helpers were kind and patient. I would recommend this trip to anyone who enjoys getting away from the resort and seeing some of how the locals live.

5.00This tour is amazing! On vacation in Punta Cana, a friend, her kids and I did this tour, and it was amazing. It’s like no other tour I’ve been on, and I travel quite a bit. You get an authentic view of the DR and its people and culture. We spent nearly 8 hours with Alex and his compadres and did lots of walking and hiking (around 7 miles that day per my Fitbit), explored caves and swam in a cove off the beaten path that felt like a fountain of youth. We ate delicious food at a local restaurant, visited a museum, took a boat tour and even saw a manatee, which you apparently don’t always get to see. And we ended the day at a local chocolate and souvenir shop. Alex, Wilmer and Ariel were absolutely great in helping us throughout the day. Do not miss this tour.

5.00We toured with Alex as a small group, and he provided an incredibly well-rounded experience in Boca de Yuma. He shared insights on the area’s history, nature, geology, agriculture, and culture, all with impressive knowledge and enthusiasm. He gave us plenty of time at each stop and made sure we never felt rushed. What really stood out was how genuinely interested he was in us as well—it made the experience feel personal and memorable. Spending the day with Alex was truly a pleasure. I highly recommend his tours—you can tell he truly loves what he does. It was a highlight of our trip to the Dominican Republic!

5.00Omg, this was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had!!!! Everything was exceptional and beautiful. Alex and Ariel were very kind and generous, and they made sure I was comfortable and felt safe throughout the entire adventure. I loved that it was a one on one experience. We were able to talk, get to know each other, and just talk about life itself. Do not hesitate to book. You will not be disappointed. It was truly an entire day of adventure. I also have to add that I was very skeptical about the restaurant, so I ended up ordering two items shrimp pasta and pizza just in case I didn’t like the pasta and both were a 10/10!!! The pizza was big enough for everyone lol. The restaurant views were amazing, and the food prices were very affordable. If I ever visit again, I will definitely bring my son, and we will be touring with Alex!!

5.00Our family of five adults had a fantastic time! Cave diving, boat tour, restaurant recommendation. Alex and team were very fun to hang out with all day. We experienced a lot of the local culture and even played a game of beteyah on the street! Overall we had a great time!
