  The tour was interesting and very fun to see the elephants close up and learn a little about each one. The tickets were not inexpensive, but the profits go to maintaining the sanctuary and caring for the elephants, so I didn’t mind. It also included a private taxi from our hotel and back ( about an hour away). We had a friendly, informed guide- Thomas. He was great, and you could tell he was passionate about the animals. The lunch at the end was delicious. The wait after we arrived was a little too long, and the tour was Really only about 2 hours, not three, but I thought it was a good length. It was very hot, but they provided umbrellas, cold water and shade frequently during the tour. All in all I felt it was a good value, and well worth the visit.

  Yaya was our tour guide. She was amazing and knew so much about the elephants. This sanctuary is truly a wonderful place and take such great care of the elephants.

  This was an incredible experience. At first, I was sad that we didn’t get to go into the water with the elephants. But after they explained that they have created a safe space for them to freely roam and live a life similar to the wild, it made sense. Very ethical treatment. No bull horns, riding, or performances. Just happy elephants living their best lives. Our guide was named “ICE”. They were amazing. Knowledgeable and kind.

  This trip was fantastic, fun, interesting and highly educational. The Elephants always come first, and are treated with love and respect. The organisation was first class from being picked up in the morning all the way through to being dropped off in the afternoon. I highly recommend a visit to this sanctuary, however if you can't attend this one and you go elsewhere, I urge you to check on the credentials of your chosen destination. Specifically, there should be no riding the Elephants and no swimming with the Elephants, if there is walk away as the Elephants are being exploited. For the record, I am from Cardiff in South Wales and have no affiliation with Phuket Elephant Sanctuary.

  

  

• If you love them don’t ride them! This place is a sanctuary for elephants to escape our worst for what we do best.

  This place is an eye opener. Who wouldn’t want to ride an elephant or play with them in a water hole. The problem is this is trained and not natural behaviour. This elephant sanctuary rescues old and injured elephants (mostly because of us). They come from the ride camps and the plantations. They live for 70 years+ so can often be working for over 60 years. This place buys these misused elephants from the owners (often reluctant to sell) and gives them a new life which is as close to a natural forest that a domesticated elephant can get. They also have a hospital where they treat all elephants for free even those that have bad owners. As they say it’s all about the elephant - and it is. Go visit….

  Fantastic place where they look after and love the elephants. Rescue them and care for them many having suffered abuse. Great to see them in natural habitat and up close

  It was a very good experience. The atmosphere is very wild. Although it is an elephant sanctuary, there’s other wildlife here that make the space feel natural. The tour guides are very knowledgeable in regards of the elephants and very friendly. Feeding was awesome and the lunch at the end was very delicious. You should definitely try this place out.   Booked the experience whilst on holiday in Thailand , we wanted to visit an ethical sanctuary and this is certainly that . Amazing place , breathtaking views and close up views of the magnificent elephants, got the chance to feed one too , really well organised from pick up to breakfast/refreshments around the park with guide through to lunch and return . Our guide was Rudi absolutely brilliant, informative and friendly, answered all questions and didn’t rush us at any point. A truly amazing experience.

  Visiting Phuket Elephant Sanctuary was really special. Unlike many other sanctuaries, there’s no bathing, no riding, no forced interaction. Just space, care, and respect. The elephants are simply allowed to be elephants, roaming freely and healing in their own time. A beautiful experience I’ll always remember 🐘
