Enjoy snowmobiling, dog sledding, and the breathtaking winter scenery from above with a sightseeing flight. See wildlife up-close at the Yukon Wildlife Preserve and pamper yourself with a dive into the soothing hot water of the Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs.
On two evenings of your choice, you’ll travel just outside the city centre, but far enough from the city lights to an idyllic Northern Lights viewing location, the AuroraCentre.
This is an eventful winter tour in the Yukon for young and young-at-heart travelers.

We start the day with a sightseeing flight above the spectacular winter scenery on a 30 minutes sightseeing flight. During the flight we can enjoy the Yukon winter from an angle only few people ever will.
Whitehorse
Back in Whitehorse we will discover the history of the north on a city-sightseeing tour. Whitehorse has a lot to offer and is home to famous sights like the historic Paddlewheeler SS Klondike or a “Skyscraper” completely made out of logs.
Yukon Wildlife Preserve
Later we drive to the Yukon Wildlife Preserve where we can see up close inhabitant game like the Elk, Moose, Caribou, Mountain Goats and Porcupines in their natural surrounding. It's a photographer's and naturalist's dream to see Yukon's wildlife up close and you will be in the front-row to learn about wildlife living year-round in the True North.
Takhini Hotspring
Not far from here we will visit the Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs and endulge ourself in the natural hot waters and relax in a breathtaking mountain setting.
After a relaxed dinner in Whitehorse, you’ll be back on the road again, this time to seek views of the stunning Northern Lights. Relax in sheltered comfort, or under the starry sky beside a warm fire at one of our tailor-made aurora viewing locations.

Today we’ll learn the old tradition of mushing (dog sledding). After a detailed safety briefing we’ll get introduced to the art of dog sledding and soon we’ll be on our way along the frozen winter trails. We’ll feel the power and durance of the dogs, listen to their breaths and feel the creaking snow under the runners. A very unique experience!
Later in the evening we set out to the AuroraCentre where we’ll seek the sight of northern lights.

After a detailed safety introduction we step on our snowmobiles. With enjoyable speed we’ll pass through the memorable winter scenery of the Yukon and soak up the view of snow covered mountains and lakes with thick layers of ice. With a snowmobile, the journey can be an exhilarating ride up and down magnificent mountains or a relaxing tour through the forest and down historic trails.

5.00What an amazing tour? The guides were so polite and we saw the Aurora many times from the heated observation tents outside town on there private site. During the day we went dogsledding, sightseeingand downtown Whitehorse is such a beautiful place to hang around. Why go anywhere else?

4.00Loved it. You get all activities in one package. Hot spa is a must. 4 stars: some guides were Japanese, with questionable English, although they were trying. City sightseeing - not needed, as you can do it yourself. Lots of spare time, with nothing to do. You can safely return on the fourth day.
Highly recommended.

I did several tours with them, dog sledding, hunting for Northern Lights (5 nights), scenic flight , snowmobile, nature reserve and hot springs ... all highly recommended, it is an experience they have to live at least once in their life. The facilities and equipment are very comfortable and welcoming, the teepes very nice and the service excellent; Horacio and Leo, my guides were very professional, attentive, prepared and always with very good attitude.
Great guides, avoid Arctic Range Adventures!

3.00The good news is that this area is beautiful and the guides were awesome. The bad news is that this is a five day tour with only three days of activities, so the title of the tour is misleading. The worst part is that we were scheduled for a dogsledding trip, but the actual pick up time was an hour earlier than PRINTED ON OUR ITINERARY. Not only that, but I verified the pick up time with a guide the night before just to be sure. The company claimed that they did not have my contact info to alert me at pick up time. Seriously? My phone number was all over my contract and waivers. They gave me a gift card for dinner, which was nice, but I traveled over 2,000 miles to go dogsledding!
Why did we wait so long to discover the Yukon?

5.00My husband and I just returned from our Yukon adventure and we loved it! The daytime excursions were fun, informative and, in some cases, quite physically exhilarating. The staff/guides were so good teaching us and really caring for our well-being. Case in point, my husband was very much in pain through his back and the guides determined that when it came to the dog-sledding, he, and therefore we, would be better off going for the ride rather than driving the sleds ourselves. Sincerest thanks to all of our guides, including the gentleman who made several trips to make sure all of our rented gear fit properly. And then there was the Aurora Borealis! We know that no one controls them, but how very lucky we were to see the spectacular display. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for everything!

1.00They are extremely unprofessional, and dropped us off at a hotel with no food when most other facilities were already closed. Guide did not care, and just drove off. Did not offer to take us to any restaurant. We had to fetch McDonalds in a taxi. Tours the next day were acceptable, but after the hot springs tour, an Asian guide told us in broken English that we could not go on the Aurora tour because some guests in my group were coughing. They do not have a policy on this. We had doctors and nurses in the group, and Covid tests if they wanted. (Was negative) There are no restrictions in Canada now, and they simply threw us off the tour we paid for, without refund or alternate arrangements. Doing it yourself with taxis is actually better. That is what we did for the remainder of our tour. Use any other provider. Hard to imagine it could be worse...

5.00We did the Active Winter Heartbeat adventure for 7 days. It was absolutely fantastic. The adventure included a little flight over Whitehorse, a welcome tour, a visit to the wildlife preserve, dog sledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and ice fishing. We added in a trip to Kluane National Park. Also we had three aurora viewing nights. All of the activities were extremely well organized and pickups on schedule. Accommodation in the Raven Inn was good. The adventures were incredible and completely unforgettable. What made everything particularly special was the high quality of the guides. They were amazing and enthusiastic! Friendly and fun and experienced outdoorspeople. Wait till you hear stories from their personal adventures and see their pictures! My daughter and I consider our time in the Yukon a life experience and hope to return another season.

5.00Consider that there are two our of five days that are travel days. Otherwise a lot of activities for the three days. Enjoyed the Animal preserve visit, the dog sledding, snowmobiling, hot spring dip,and the plane ride. The Aurora did not show up as bright but the experience in the camp in eager anticipation was priceless. Toasted marshmallows and hot chocolate hit the spot.

5.00The trip to Whitehorse we booked with Arctic Range was truly amazing. I can't thank them enough for an absolute great experience. We are so happy we did this trip...Arctic Range is an amazing tour company, they are so helpful, knowledgeable, and very professional. Very friendly and patient office staff and multi-language speaking guides. The entire program was arranged perfectly from the airport pick up to the drop off. We had so much fun doing Dog Sledding, Snowmobiling, Wildlife & Hot Springs, Aurora Viewing and a Sightseeing flight - from day 1 to 5. They truly are outstanding and we would recommend a trip like this to everyone!
