This trip starts at the very spot where the river meets the ocean, in Tamarin Bay, which is famous for its mythical wave. We will paddle upstream, where the water is calm, to discover the two main arms of the river. On one side the Rempart and the Trois Mamelles mountains, and on the other, the magnificent mountain of La Tourelle. The surrounding natural habitat boasts lush greenery as well as abundant wildlife. Throughout our journey, we may encounter moorhens, ducks, long billed birds, flying foxes or even monkeys.

We really had great time. We tried it for the first time, but it was very easy to handle it with the great tour guide with us, his name is Gilles. He told us many stories about surrounding and he even took some pictures of us. Very nice person, we highly recommend it, great way to explore this area of the island 😊.

Super walk on the river, with wildlife watching (monkeys, ducks, geese, bat...), and views of the surrounding mountains. Peaceful and calm moment that allows to recharge. My guide Gilles was very welcoming, smiling, good advice, and explanations about everything around us.

Our guide Mr Gilles was super friendly and patient with us. It was a nice and peaceful experience with Nature. The activity duration was 2-2h30 minutes. The cost was affordable as well. We were a group of 4 and though we had never done kayak, it was pretty easy to navigate.

The kayak tour was super exciting and we could see lots of plants and animals. We drove into different river arms and really felt like we were in the jungle.
