The Kruger National Park is South Africa’s largest game reserve, and one of the most respected in the world. Our highly experienced field guides are passionate about the bush, and they will share their knowledge of the 147 species of mammals, more than 500 species of birds and 336 species of trees which make this 2 million hectare space their home, with our guests.
From an Open Safari Vehicle guests can smell the dust and the sun-warmed grass, listen to the cicadas and the cry of the Fish Eagles, and enjoy the heat of an African day.
Late afternoon is a good time for game viewing, and as evening approaches, nocturnal animals become active.
Duration: Approximately 4 hours
Pick up time: 13h00
Drop off time: 17h00 / 18h00 (Depending on gate times)

Unfortunately we are not permitted to have infants (0-3) on our Open Safari Vehicles but you can request a closed air-conditioned vehicle with an infant/baby seat. Please note that there will be an additional KNP entrance fee. Conservation fees per child under 12 years: South African Citizens and Residents (with ID) R 64.00. However we are also able to offer a safari in a closed, air-conditioned vehicle. This is a pleasant and comfortable option especially in very hot weather, for older guests, and for families travelling with young children. This is a suitable option for those with limited time.

5.00The experience was amazing! Sunny boy our driver picked us up from our accommodation on time with no issues. Dan was our driver and even though it was very cold he is incredibly knowledgeable with the animals and not only do you see but you learn! Would book a tour with him any day!

5.00We took the afternoon safari into Kruger National Park with Enoch as our guide. He was amazing! Even found a lion during the very hot summer season. Zebra, Buffalo, baboons, giraffe, kudus, warthogs! Service with Gap Tours is exceptional. What more can I say!

5.00My lady friends and I recently visited Hazyview&we went for a drive @ KNP. EDWARD was our game ranger.In the vehicle there were 8 of us ladies from the Free State and a couple from Chilli. He took every opportunity educating us about every animal we saw. He was always polite&shared jokes making us relax&enjoy the drive. We later encountered an elephant which I believe felt we were somehow a threat to its young. It charged towards us&we were so scared. Edward calmly asked is to remain quiet&calm. He urged us to trust him as he wouldn't do anything to put our lives in danger. I applaud him for the respect&love he has for the animals in their territory. He managed to keep all 10 passengers calm&took us back safely. He was such a gentleman and I still cant figure out how he managed to keep is all calm in that situation. There was just something in his voice and the manner he conducted himself that I believe made us trust him.

5.00During our trip to Africa we stayed in the beautiful Kruger Park. My expectations of the Krugerpark have been greatly exceeded, it was fantastically beautiful. Edward, our GAP Tours travel guide, allowed us to see so much beauty. Not just the Big Five, but much and much more. I learned a lot about the animals and nature in Kruger Park. Edward’s enthusiasm is contagious and he conveys this well to our group. You can see that he enjoys his work a lot and has a lot of love and respect for the animals. He can quickly exercise the animals, so we too can see everything. Edward was very well in the group and we had a great time together! We have often been on safari in the afternoon. Once Edward came back with half the group on safari, because 45 minutes later a lion with cubs could be seen. The rest of the group jumped in the jeep and we drove quickly that way. This shows how much he loves doing this job and how much he wants us all to see this. Thank you Edward for this amazing experience I will never forget!!

5.00In the 5h Eduard felt showed us everything from the national park. The fact that you see a leopard and lion in a tour in less than 2h was surprising even to him. Very friendly guide with a lot of fun at work and punctual pick up. Only recommended!:-)
