Explore and admire Auckland's largest regional park, the Waitakere Ranges, on this 5 hour afternoon eco-tour. The perfect way to get out of the city and enjoy the nature on Auckland's door step.

You'll be picked up from your centrally located Auckland hotel before traveling 30-minutes west to the Waitakere Ranges.

From here travel further west to enjoy a walk in the rainforest before visiting the beautiful Piha Beach for a walk on the soft black sand.

Afternoon refreshments are provided along with full commentary from our driver guides.

Our journey to the rainforest and Piha Beach was nothing short of magical. The lush greenery of the rainforest enveloped us in a serene embrace. Transitioning from the forest's heart to the shores of Piha Beach, we were greeted by its dramatic black sands and striking Lion Rock rising majestically from the sea. The beach was a paradise for surfers and sun-seekers alike, with waves crashing against the backdrop of breathtaking cliffs. Watching the sunset cast golden hues over the landscape was a mesmerizing finale. This trip was a beautiful blend of adventure and tranquility, leaving us rejuvenated and awed by nature's wonders. We can't wait to return!

Great afternoon getaway from Auckland. Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging. Rainforest was a nice walk and the beach is gorgeous! Never felt rushed and enjoyed it all.

I had a good time visiting Piha beach which one was very nice & unique experience. Sandy beach had a great view, also rain forest was great to walk down a bit. Our tour guide was polite, knowledegable.

First, Kevin is an expert guide and Annie an experienced driver and hostess Tgey made this trip nothing less than fantastic! Comfortable can, a delish meat pie stop, the park visitor's center, a beautiful and educational walk through the rainforest, spectacular Piha Beach and a delicious cup if tea made this a very memorable and worthwhile trip! Plus door to door service! Loved it!
