Explore and admire Auckland's largest regional park, the Waitakere Ranges, on this 5 hour afternoon eco-tour. The perfect way to get out of the city and enjoy the nature on Auckland's door step.
You'll be picked up from your centrally located Auckland hotel before traveling 30-minutes west to the Waitakere Ranges.
From here travel further west to enjoy a walk in the rainforest before visiting the beautiful Piha Beach for a walk on the soft black sand.
Afternoon refreshments are provided along with full commentary from our driver guides.

Arataki Visitor Centre - Waitakere Ranges
Enjoy amazing views and hear about the history of the Waitakere Ranges at the first stop on this tour. The visitors centre is also home to some traditional Māori carvings and your guide will talk about them and explain their significance for the area.
Enjoy a easy walk through the rainforest of the Waitakere Ranges (The walk is currently located at the Arataki Visitor Centre).

5.00Was a great tour. Erin knew her stuff and it was quite educational as well as seeing some amazing sites. The rainforest, Phia Beach and the other stops along the way are worth it. Not only was Erin great but the other guides Andy and Ian also were. Made for a great afternoon.

5.00Annie and Kerry delivered an awesome afternoon tour. Full of insight and education. I learnt a great deal about the native rainforest life the plants and species. The beach was amazing, low tide meant we could walk right out and explore some Instagram worthy views. A hot drink and an Anzac biscuit 🍪 rounded it off before the drive back. Great way to spend your afternoon.

5.00We loved our Piha bush and beach experience. Our tour guides were Murray and Jason. They were very punctual and knowledgeable. They made sure to make our experience fun and memorable. My wife and I had an amazing experience in Australia but they blew us away and made it even better than that. We highly recommend.

5.00Perfect to have a great experience of both bush walk and beach. .Our guide Kevin was great to answer every question we made. A half day tour was quite convenient. Next time we would go for a longer walk if we have enough time.
