5.00Our guide, Joao, was extremely knowledgeable of the area being a local and of the wine process. It was fascinating to learn cork came from oak trees and the types of wine bottles used.

5.00Absolutely a beautiful day, Joao was an excellent tour guide, he shared his vast knowledge of cultural history and made the day very pleasant. The wineries were excellent and the views stunning.

5.00An excellent day with free time in the charming town of Silves and visits to two beautiful small wineries where we sampled three very good wines with meats and cheese in beautiful surroundings. Our guide, Joao was very informative, both about the wine and about the area. A very worthwhile and enjoyable day.

5.00Don’t hesitate to book this tour! Our guide Carlos was wonderful! We learned so much about the entire wine making process. We had a small group of 7.. met some wonderful people from different countries..the wineries were great too!

5.00A wonderful day of visiting the Silves area. Our first stop was a family owned winery that if you ever had a vision of what a European winery should look like, this would be it. Rows upon rows of vines on rolling hills makes for a most picturesque setting. Staff there was so friendly. We were taken on tour of the production area by our very knowledgeable Algarving Tours guide Carlos. He had excellent insights of the local wine industry. Our next stop was at Silves. Free time to see the town, enjoy lunch and explore a Moor era castle. This was time well spent. Our final stop was at a municipal owned winery. A nice winery that shows how a well run non family operation can produce wines that are as good as old generational wineries. Friendly staff to treat us to their selection and offerings. This was a great day and again, Carlos our tour guide was so very knowledgeable of everything on this tour and always more than happy to answer questions.

5.00Fantastic tour! We originally booked full day but not enough people booked it so we swapped to a half day and were given refund of the difference. Joao was great, nice guy, very informative and we learnt about cork trees as well as the wine. The winery was in a beautiful location, so relaxing - highly recommend this tour

5.00Carlos our guide is full of information about the Algarve and also wine production. He chats away all day with snippets of information. We had plenty of time at the vineyards to explore after the tour. Wine tasting was great. At lunchtime we stopped off in Silves a very ancient and interesting Algarve city, which at one time was the capital of the region. Next to the castle we found a small bar offering Port wine tasting, which of course we had to sample. All round a great day out
