Yala National Park
Yala National Park is the oldest ,most visited and the second largest National park in Sri Lanka. it is extended over two provinces, namely Uva & Southern. It lies within Monaragala & Hambantota districts.Yala National Park covers about 97,880.7 hectares, the multifarious eco system ranging from the Moist Monsoon Forest to other natural compartment. In 1909 Yala was declared as Sanctuary and gain gazette as a National Park in 25 th February 1938. This is one of top tourist destination in Sri Lanka. Yala is an ideal place to spot the “big four” of Sri Lankan wildlife, the elephants, the sloth bear, the illusive leopard and the wild buffalo. Not only these animals but this is a paradise for birds, migrant birds, resident birds and very rare birds can be seen in this park.

5.00We had an incredible full-day safari in Yala National Park. It honestly couldn’t have been better! We saw everything you could possibly see. Our guide Dilhan was amazing! He clearly knows exactly what he’s doing, and together with our jeep driver, who had a great instinct for where to go, they made the perfect team. Thanks to them, we were unbelievably lucky and had the most special sightings. Even Dilhan said that this kind of day is rare! We saw many elephants and an elephant calf, a leopard with its cub, bears up close, crocodiles, a rare tusker elephant, lots of water buffalo, deer, and so many different bird species. We are so grateful for this experience. Thank you so much! ☺️🐘

5.00We went on a private safari with Dilhan – and it was just incredible. He organized everything perfectly so we didn't have to worry about anything and could just enjoy the time. Also the accommodation was really great – everything was super thoughtful and loving. Dilhan is also an incredibly warm and personable person. We had a really nice time together, and I will definitely miss those days. The safari itself was very special. Compared to the other jeeps, our experience was much calmer and more respectful. We were able to observe the animals relaxed – without stress. Thanks to Dilhan and the driver we have seen so many impressive animals. The driver knew the best spots and had the right contacts so we always knew exactly where to go. Dilhan also took an incredible number of great pictures with his camera. I can really recommend this experience to anyone who wants to experience a special safari – especially one where the animals are treated with respect and you can enjoy nature in peace.

5.00It was a great experience with Mindika highly recommended your guide as he goes beyond the ordinary to ensure you get the fullest experience. Definitely worth a go if you are looking for a tour in Sri Lanka he’s your go to. P/S stay the F away from whale watching if you have motion sickness natural predator - the tides of the oceans

5.00Had a excellent time with traumland tours. Mindika took his time to curate an itinerary that suited our budget and needs. He knows a lot about the culture, and back stories about the areas to go which made the trip a lot more enjoyable. His friendly and energetic personality made the trip a lot more enjoyable and we felt we were travelling with a local friend Nihal was an excellent driver that made us feel safe despite the traffic and terrain If you are looking for an affordable your with excellent value, look no further

5.00My experience with Traumland Tours truly deserves a standing ovation. Without much planning and at a short notice, my best friends and I embarked on a bro trip to Sri Lanka. As we only had a regretfully short 8D8N to explore the country, our lovely tour guide Mindika specially curated a series of activities for us all, tailoring to our expectations and ensuring that we were able to taste every nook and cranny of selected cities around the country. In a span of 8 days, we went clockwise around the southern part of the island, covering historical and religious sites, scenic hikes in the city and in the nature, unmatched views in the mountain ranges and at the beaches. Not forgetting our professional driver, Nihal, who chauffeured us around safely and punctually for 8 consecutive days. If you’re reading this and considering a vacation to Sri Lanka, you will not regret choosing Traumland Tours.
