Aktau Mountains

Day 1: Almaty – Altyn Emel national Park (240 km) – Aktau mountains – Katytau mountains Departure from Almaty to the Altyn-Emel, 240 km. Upon arrival at the Eco-park in Basshy we will check-in the guest house and have a delicious lunch. Head to Aktau mountains (77 km off-road). Aktau mountains is a kind of open-air paleontological museum. Here nature has created beautiful gorges from steep walls with multicolored layers of rocks: from green and in the lower part to colorful and white in the upper. Trekking in the Aktau mountains.

Katutau Mountain

After having breakfast head to Singing Dune (40 min way), climbing up, enjoy view, walk till the end of the ridge and make picture of the Ili river, which is seen from the hill, listen to dune’s sound as you go down. The features of the singing dunes with a strong wind emit a roar similar to the sound of a jet engine. Now singing dune “by popular vote” is included in the list of 7 wonder of Kazakhstan and has the official status of the state natural monument of national importance. Lunch at the guest house. Singing Barkhan

Day2: Altyn –Emel “Singing dune” – Charyn canyon (150km) – Almaty (250 km) After having breakfast head to Singing Dune (40 min way). Climbing up along the ridge, enjoy the panorama of the vast and Ili river, listen to dune’s sound as you go down. Unforgettable experience! Shonzhy

Way from Altyn Emel to resort takes around 2 hours. On our way we will stop for easy trekking on the Dolantau mountains so-called Tiger mountains. Hot sptring resort after 1, 5 hour driving. Natural water comes from underground and has healing properties. Especially useful for joint diseases. But there are also contraindications. Be careful! THis part of the tour will be a place of relaxation. Swimming in the open-air pool under stars will totally restore your strength

Lake Kaindy

After lunch at the resort we will head to one of the most beautiful lake in the world - Kaindy lake ( 2 hours way, 12 km off road driving) Part of the way we can get by horse. Although you have never tried it before you will be abdle to do it as horses are trained and you will have an instructor. Take pictures and enjoy the scenery. Many amazing view to see around the lake. Come back to guesthouse for Dinner and overnight.

Kolsai Lake

After breakfast you have two options: active- where you will have hiking tour from lower Kolsay to Middle Kolsay (It will take approximately 3 hours to get up and 2 hours to go down); The second option is to take a boat and enjoy views surrounded Kolsai lake -1, try horse-bike riding. Lunch and head to Charyn canyon.

Charyn Canyon National Park

Head to Charyn canyon named “Valley of Catles”. Canyon exists 12 mln years. People called it the 2nd Grand canyon. Athough it smaller the rocks of the canyon will suprised you with their shape. Its dificult to believe that those creations is not handmade but art work of nature. See panorama of the canyon from observation deck and then walk downstairs to the bottom of the canyon, walk further till the river (2 km). Rest at the riverside. Return trip.
